It seemed Teronna had exploded overnight. Rumors and words of rogue mystic attacks were showing up every time you blinked, and it made Terra nervous. To the point, she was half tempted to pack a bag and take Myra to Ethion. Not to go to Ciaran Lee Frye, but to stay for a little while. The city had to be safer right? She remembered the noble party that had been attacked, however, and she suddenly changed her mind. She hoped Ciaran hadn't been at it...That he was okay. Despite how frustrating he was, she didn't want to see him harmed. But...there was no telling when he'd show up. His last visit had been several weeks ago, and he could only come when he was able. She didn't want to think about him one day just deciding Myra wasn't worth the trouble anymore...
Because of the recent attacks, Terra had stopped work for a few days. She'd locked the cabin up and only went outside when she had to for wood for the woodstove. She'd just come back in, slightly winded. Her breath could be seen in the cold winter air and she pulled her dark grey closer, rubbing her hands together. They were numb and red from the cold, and she worked on building a fire. Myra was asleep for her afternoon nap, so Terra had taken the time to do some housework. The cabin was simple. Small, with only one bedroom a small loft for storage, and decent-sized living space for the kitchen and living room. It wasn't fancy, but it was dry, simple, and hers. With just her and Myra, they didn't need much. Just each other.
Once the fire was built, she blew on her hands, before holding them out towards the flames to warm. She rubbed them together and then stood, adjusting her skirts before walking towards the bedroom. She slowly opened the door to see Myra still passed out on the bed, sucking on her thumb while her mane of ragamuffin curls went every which way. A smile crossed Terra's face before she closed the door and then went to the front door of the cabin. She opened it up, putting a doorstop in while she headed towards the small stack of wood she'd been cutting. With a small grunt, she began to load up her arms and head back into the house to fill the woodbox. Being mindful of her surroundings and making sure trouble didn't appear...

Ciaran rarely panicked. When he was panicking, he was usually fairly good at keeping it hidden. He'd been sent word by his mother, requesting a family dinner, and his initial reaction was to pretend he didn't receive it, or he got the letter too late. However, he had heard about the Unseelie attack on the king and his company, something his mother was unsettled about. Had any of his siblings been caught in it? Surely if someone had been hurt, Catriona would have told him of it.
But this news spurred him towards Greyshollow, quietly afraid that somehow the rogue attacks had been elsewhere as well...despite not hearing anything. Or maybe it was just the final push to force him to see Terra after so many weeks, but more importantly, his daughter. He played it cool, acted like he didn't care as much as he did, that hearing Myra call him by name instead of "daddy" didn't bother him. Well, did it, really? He was too stubborn to realize that he had no right to care while he was hiding them away in this village. Hiding away his shame.
As Terra was carrying in more firewood, trying to be "mindful of trouble", trouble was already arriving. Hoofbeats pounded against the cold earth as he urged the tired animal forward. He was taking a chance coming here before the family dinner, but Ciaran was assuring himself that he'd be able to make it all the way back home in time. He had two days, and he most likely wouldn't be staying here long. He just needed to ease his own worried mind.
Drawing the stallion to a halt, he noted the door was open (having arrived just as Terra set foot back inside). He stopped breathing as he quickly dismounted, tying the horse to the fence. Nothing looked in disarray, nothing appeared as if there had been an attack, but booted feet carried him swiftly to the open doorway to peer in anyway. "Terra?!"

Terra was juggling several pieces of wood in her arms as she swayed across the floor. She reached the box next to the stove and started to lower each one down, not wanting to make to loud of noise incase she woke Myra up. She was lowering the second piece in when she heard her name suddenly called. Having not expected anyone, it startled her. With the rogue mystic attacks, it caused her to shriek as she chucked the piece of wood towards the front door. She stumbled backward, the other pieces hitting the floor in rapid succession as they hit the hardwood. Terra managed to swing herself into the wall, arms out wide to stead herself.
Her dark eyes were wide for a moment. Her chest rising and falling with the rush of adrenaline when her eyes landed on the culprit that had startled her in the first place. That brief look of fear that had been on her face morphed into a scowl. "Goddammit Ciaran, you scared the hell out of me!" She breathed, righting herself she reached up to rub her cold hands over her face, allowing herself to calm down. It was Ciaran. Of course it was. He always had the best timing, so of course it was him.
Of course, it was him... Her heart was beating quickly and she sighed rubbing her temples when she heard the bedroom door creak open, and out toddled out Myra. Rubbing her hand over an eye as it was clear she'd just woken up, and probably from the noise. Her dark gaze looked to where her mother was before she had to tilt her head way back to see the figure in the door way. "Kiki!' Came her tired voice, as a grin spread across those chubby baby cheeks. She moved towards him, lifting her arms to indicate she wanted him to pick her up.
Terra's heart seized, and she looked away. Her scowl deepening more as she started to pick up the dropped pieces of wood.

Oops.
Alright, maybe he let his panic get the best of him this time...but she didn't need to know that. Not entirely. Ciaran cringed as the firewood was dropped, and one of the pieces came flying in his direction. Those eyes went wide, a curse slipping past his lips as he ducked out of the doorway before it could hit him. After that, he was slow to peer back in, clearly seeing that the woman was fine.
His hands came up in surrender and he took a single step inside. "Sorry, sorry. The door was open, I heard about the rogue attack, and I just-" Fortunately (or unfortunately), the sound of a creaking door stopped him from finishing that sentence. Then, Myra was calling out to him.
Ciaran's face softened immediately as he crouched down. Her little legs carried her towards him and he scooped her up into his arms before rising back up to his full height. "Were you sleeping?" he asked her gently, trying to brush a few strands of curls out of her face. "I didn't mean to wake you." Ciaran didn't mean to do a lot of things, apparently.

Oh so you do care? The bitter thoughts hit Terra at hearing he’d heard of the attack and had decided to have a faint of heart. Where were you the nine months I was pregnant? When your daughter was born? When I needed- She took a deep breath. Forcing the venomous thoughts out of her mind. He was here right now. That’s what mattered.
She picked up a piece of wood, setting it in the crook of her arm while she reached for another. “She was.” She grumbled in answer. Glancing over at the pair by the door. “Ni’ni?” Myra asked Ciaran. Her little head tilted to the side while she yawned, and then ceremoniously laid her head against his shoulder, popping her thumb into her mouth while her eyes flickered around the room.
They were certainly the pair with their matching curls and round faces. It didn’t take rocket science to know that Myra was Ciaran’s. Seeing the two like that caused both an ache and a warm feeling to wash over Terra. Pleased he was there, and yet angry at the same time. She set the wood pieces in the wood box and then crouched down to grab the other two. “We’re just fine.” She commented. Trying to keep the bite out of her tone.
Once the wood was in the wood box she rose to her feet. “Tea?” She asked. Moving to start the kettle. Wanting something to warm up with. She glanced over at Ciaran. “Can you close the door too?” She asked. I know you weren’t raised in a barn. She wanted to add on, but didn’t.

Ciaran was quick to look over at Terra with her grumble, but he said nothing in return. He supposed she had a right to be annoyed, but it wasn't like he blatantly came over here to purposely wake the child. Still, as he felt the weight of Myra's head fall onto his shoulder, he could only assume that she would be falling back asleep in no time. "Yes, you just close those eyes again," he soothed, gently rubbing her back as he held the girl against him.
Try as she might to keep the anger and annoyance from her tone, it wasn't difficult for him to sense it. It was nothing new, either. Again, he wasn't so stupid as to not understand that he deserved it, but she was also continuously ignorant to the fact that he was trying to make things okay, in the only way he knew how. He'd made a mistake- no, they had made one- and he feared this would cause so many problems for his family and reputation, even Terra's. Many would see it as wrong, but Ciaran could have denied Myra was his and casted them aside like they were nothing. But he hadn't.
"No, I'm fine," he answered Terra about the tea, carefully and quietly shutting that door behind him with his foot as he paced slowly to calm the child and urge her back to sleep. "They attacked the king," Ciaran continued, speaking about the Unseelie again. It left a bad taste in his mouth and there was an anger in his eyes. "My sister and cousin were caught in it." And that was not alright with him. Being a Mystic himself, he still would have tried to kill every single one of them for putting his family in harm's way.
Kill the king for all he cared...but do not touch his flesh and blood.

Terra set to work gathering the supplies needed for the tea. Walking over to set the kettle over the stove and then prepping tea leaves. She undid the ties of her cloak that she was still wearing then and pulled it off her shoulders. Revealing the simple dress she wore underneath and walked towards where Ciaran stood. Her eyes widened as he told her what the attack had been about, and concern instantly filtered across her face.
Her issues with Ciaran were put aside for the moment. She had been a servant at the Lee frye’s and they had treated her well. In fact she rather liked his family, and to hear they could have been caught in the crossfire of the attack made her concern show. “Are they alright?” She asked. Putting the cloak on the hook by the door. She paused next to Ciaran, and ran a hand gently through Myra’s hair. Smoothing some curls off her forehead. A small smile appeared on her face as she looked at the little girl. She’d never tell him, but Ciaran had a way with her whether he realized it or not.
If Myra had woken up while it was just Terra, she was sure the child would have cried and thrown a tantrum, and yet here she was, nestled protectively in her daddy’s arms and being as quiet as a mouse. It made her chest ache more, and brought up emotions she didn’t want to deal with. The same emotions she felt whenever Ciaran visited. She glanced up him. “Are you alright?” She asked him. She didn’t have siblings, but it was clear to see the love and bond the Lee Frye’s had for each other.
She idly wondered if his visit today was to ensure that Myra was alright, and she wouldn’t admit that the thought gave her a small pang of hope. Hope that maybe, just maybe...He was finally realizing what he had. What he could lose.
But that was wishful thinking. She had to remind herself that this was Ciaran. He was only giving them whatever attention he could afford them that day. That was all.

Myra was slowly becoming dead weight the more she relaxed, drifting closer and closer to sleep. Still, he could tell she was trying to stay awake a little longer, as though she was afraid she was going to miss out on something. It didn't matter whether or not she fell asleep- he'd continue walking slowly with her because the child was suddenly offering him a comfort he didn't realize he had needed. And he wasn't going to deny it, either.
His brow furrowed, further recalling the event. Ciaran nodded lightly to Terra, though, to answer her question, pausing in his pacing when she approached. "They were unharmed thankfully." And it could have been bad. Just thinking about that caused a dark shadow to wash over him. "They've been called rogues...different from other Mystics. Don't know why or how, exactly."
What she asked next, though, had him stopping again; regarding her in soft confusion. Well, he hadn't been there, but after a second, he understood what she meant by it. His expression sobered a little. "I'm fine. I just-" He stopped, holding back a sigh and clearly trying not to say too much. "I wasn't sure if...well, if it had only been the party. There aren't many guards out here..."
Yes, of course he was here to make sure Myra was alright. Even Terra. He wasn't heartless...then again, what had he exactly done to prove otherwise to her?

Well that was a relief at least. As angry as she was with Ciaran, she didn't want anything bad to happen to his family or him. Despite the last two years, she stilled cared for him. He'd been a close, even dear friend once upon a time, and now he was the father of her child. That couldn't be ignored.
Her concern only deepened as he described the people that had been the cause of it. Rogue mystics? Well that was certainly scary. "People do desperate things when they feel like they're in danger." She said quietly. Talking low so that Myra wouldn't wake up since she was finally drifting back down. "Or they want something." Her eyes drifted up to Ciarans. "I imagine not every likes being hunted and put down like rabid dogs." She mused.
Whether she looked like it or not, Terra was a mystic sympathizer. She couldn't imagine having to be on the run just because of what you were. To constantly live in fear. She'd always been a bit indifferent to the talk of the mythical wardens hunting the mystics, though in later years as it grew worse she started to sympathize.
She waited to hear how he was, staring at him expectantly as he looked at her with that soft confusion. What? Could she not be nice sometimes? Even if the sight of him got under her skin and he could make her blood boil. Myra was getting older, she was becoming perceptive to things, she didn't want her to think because Momma was hostile towards Kiki, that she had to be. For as long as Ciaran was around, for as long as he decided to be around, Terra wanted her to know he was safe. She was trying. For Myra's sake.
For a moment, surprise crossed her face, and her expression softened a bit before it hardened once more. Forcing herself to so she wouldn't go off on those foolish hopeful thoughts again. "Should we be concerned?" She asked quietly. Brows furrowing in worry. She'd heard of the attack, but it was like Ciaran had said. There weren't many guards out here if at all. Most people staid to themselves mostly. What would they do if a Mystic attack had indeed hit the little village of Greyshallow? She was already nervous as it was, and Ciaran was making her more nervous. It was nice of him to show he cared enough to come check on them, but again. What if he hadn't? What were they to do?
It was just Terra and Myra out here, alone. Terra was only 5'5 and weighed maybe a buck-thirty. Any intruder could easy take her down, and Myra was just a little baby. And if they were mystics? Fear showed in her eyes for a brief moment and she clenched her jaw. She was already thinking about going to Ethion to visit her fathers grave in anniversary of his death. Maybe they should just stay there until the panic blew over.
She didn't realize it, she'd reached forward to place a hand on Ciaran's forearm. Her grip firm, and aside from her eyes it was the only thing that hinted at her fear. The contact was enough to break her thoughts free, and she gave a slight shake of her head. Letting her hand drop before she turned back towards the task at hand.
Tea. If anything dangerous happened, it would be Terra that would have to deal with it. She was the only one she could depend on, despite having to rely on Ciaran for the cabin and whatever funds he could afford them. When it came down it, she'd have to be the one to protect Myra. She couldn't trust Ciaran to be there if they really needed him.

'Or they want something.' He didn't know why, but that was worrisome. It was anyone's guess, but he was fairly certain that they had wanted to kill the king that day, however, the man had somehow survived the onslaught. And from what he had heard, there had been many chances to take the man's life.
A part of him wished the Unseelie had succeeded, but he wasn't about to voice that.
'I imagine not everyone likes being hunted and put down like rabid dogs.' That had him pausing again, his brow furrowing while he swallowed a harsh lump in his throat. "No," he whispered back. "No, they don't." He spoke as if he understood, but he'd never told Terra that he possessed gramarye. Somehow, she managed to work for his family all of those years and not know any of them had it. And that was because they couldn't risk getting caught. How were the Lee Fryes to know that all of their servants were honest and trustworthy? And then, suddenly, Ciaran wondered how trustworthy Terra would be if he told her.
Deep down, he knew he was going to have to tell her at some point. More than likely, their daughter would have some sort of magic because there hadn't been anyone of Lee Frye blood that didn't. And the idea of that terrified him right now.
Then he realized he might have said too much, and an alarm was certainly going off in Terra's head. Ciaran noted the way she gripped his arm and the fear in her eyes. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything. Before attempting to answer her concern, however, he held up a hand as if silently asking for a moment so that he could carry Myra back to her bed. He could feel that she had gotten even heavier, and her breathing was a bit more steady. Ever so slowly, he lowered her down to her pillow and covered her with the blanket; running his fingers over her hair before stepping out. He kept the door slightly ajar.
"For now, you should be fine," he finally answered Terra, keeping his voice to a comfortable low. "The village is less important than the city- they have no reason to attack here." Did he really believe that? Honestly, anything was possible at this point.

While Ciaran went and put Myra back down to sleep, she busied herself with the tea leaves and the kettle. He had said he didn’t want any, but she made him a cup all the same. It was cold outside and he’d taken a long trip here. He could at least have something to warm him up.
She carefully held the kettle, pouring the tea into her mismatched teacups. Something she was rather fond off that nothing matched. It gave it it’s own kind of uniqueness. Her fingers trembled slightly from her nerves, as she set the cups down on the little wooden table and retrieved the small jar of honey she kept for special occasions. The fact Ciaran had actually shown up? She’d considered it a surprise occasion.
She was just sitting at the table by the time he finally came out of the room and she spooned in a dollop of the honey. Stirring it slowly while she glanced up at him. For now. That wasn’t all too reassuring now was it? What about later? She placed her fingers on the outer part of the rim of the cup, carefully bringing it up to blow on the hot tea, while she fixed her gaze at Ciaran that would tell him exactly what she thought about that. Safe for now, wasn’t safe always.
They needed to be safe. “It’s possible, but now I have to worry about soldiers coming and knocking down my door thinking I’m hiding mystics.” She casually stated as if she was commenting on the weather. “They’re going to search the outer reasons for where they could have hid. Little villages like Greyshallow will be on their list.” She pointed out. Terra knew she didn’t have anything to worry as her and Myra weren’t mystics, but still. The chaos that would ensue because of this attack? The King would be looking high and low, and the villages would be the first places to suffer.
She took a sip of the tea then. “I suppose we’ll have enough guards around then.” She said a bit dryly.

His own nerves were a little frayed, but no one would know it. Inside, his heart was still pounding, knowing that what he had said probably wasn't settling well with Terra. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything. There truly was no saying that Greyshollow would be a target because there was little of value in the town.
At least, not to them. But for him...?
He ran a hand through his hair, refraining from letting out a sigh or glancing out the windows. That would do nothing to calm the worry that was going through both of their minds now. He noted the look Terra gave him, and he was trying to do his best to ignore it. Safe for now definitely wasn't safe always. Even he knew that, and he wasn't actually trying to deny it...he just wasn't fully acknowledging it right now.
'...but now I have to worry about soldiers coming and knocking down my door thinking I'm hiding Mystics.' Ciaran tried not to sweat, but he couldn't exactly stop his sudden pacing. He needed to tell her. He had to tell her that there was a great chance that Myra would have magic, that his entire family did. There hadn't been a generation of Lee Frye that didn't. Those dark eyes flickered back over to her, the words resting at the tip of his tongue, but he couldn't verbalize them. Terra hadn't spoken openly about whether she was a supporter or not- and that was a good thing, because if she was, she could definitely be in danger. You didn't have to possess magic to be in danger from the Wardens. Those fuckin' bastards.
"I'm going to look into it, alright?" he said instead, moving to finally take a seat across from her at that small table. Ciaran almost sighed again, leaning back in the chair. "Everyone is going to be on alert now. I'm going to speak to Lee, see what he knows, what the plans are." His older brother was an army captain, he would certainly know something, right?
His gaze fell to the tabletop, his finger absently tracing the lines in the wood. Ciaran was quiet for a long moment, like he was contemplating something, but in reality, he didn't know what to say. It felt like he was lying to everyone these days and it was becoming difficult to keep everything under control and to keep track. A part of him just wanted it to end.
"I'm sorry," came the words, gently breaking the quiet. He still couldn't look at her because there was so much to be sorry for and he didn't know what he was referring to. Ruining her life? Dumping her out here? For being a coward and not doing what she wished? He didn't know anymore.

Terra’s dark eyes followed Ciaran as he paced back and forth across the room. She continued to sip her tea quietly, but she found herself drawing more curious as to why he was acting like this. If she didn’t know any better, she’d say he was concerned. Though, she didn’t know the full reason for his concern. She had no idea the secret the king of secrets was keeping from her. For if she did know, then they wouldn’t be having this conversation. She’d and Myra would be long gone, and on a boat to somewhere far far away from danger, from the deception, and from him.
She sat her tea down as he sat down across from her, tilting her head slightly as she observed him. A faint smile spread across her face as he started saying what he was going to do, and a small voice wanted her to ask him when he planned on doing that. If he would even do it. From her experience Ciaran said one thing and then either didn’t do it, or changed his mind. He was impulsive, dangerously so.
Her small smile turned sad as she pushed the tea cup to the side, and laced her fingers together. Watching him as he seemed hyper focused with the grain of the wood. She felt her chest aching again with thoughts that maybe he was about to be better, but she knew she couldn’t allow it. She couldn’t let those thoughts filter in, as they’d only set herself up for disappointment.
She watched him carefully until he broke the silence, and then a bitter smile turned up the corners of her mouth, as she felt that surge of annoyance at him. What was he saying sorry for now? “For what Ciaran?” She found herself asked quietly. Wanting to hear him say what he was sorry for, in her own sick way of tormenting him for doing this to her. “I’m not worried about soldiers coming and looking for mystics, I can handle that, what I’m nervous about, what I’m afraid about, is being out here by myself. I have no idea when the next time you’ll visit.” When you remember us. She wanted to say but left it out. “I’m the only line of protection Myra has.” She told him. “The mystic attack wasn’t your fault.” She told him. “None of us could have known, and I really do appreciate you coming to check on us,” She reached over to touch his hand. Hopefully to get him to look at her. Despite how much it hurt, she was glad he decided to show up. “But, the sad reality of it all is, I’m going to have to deal with it now.” While you stay safe at your family home…

Of course Terra didn't understand, because he hadn't exactly explained everything. When she became pregnant, everything just happened so quickly and there was little time to figure things out. And regardless of what some people might think, he'd never done this before. Myra was his only child. It was instinct to want to protect her...he just didn't know how. He didn't know how to go about it without bringing shame or ruining his family's name, and everything just became a mess.
Was it an excuse? No, but he hadn't done this to be cruel. Ciaran couldn't help but sense that tension from Terra, and she probably thought all of this was because he didn't care. In reality, he cared a lot; he just foolishly tried to protect everyone at the same time and in the wrong way.
He never claimed to be a smart man.
Whereas Terra thought he only visited when he "remembered them", in reality, it was only when he could get away from work. Greyshollow wasn't terribly close to Ethion, and he couldn't stay at the family home all of the time. Getting any kind of leave from his duties was rare, and it was going to be more difficult after this Unseelie attack, he feared. But Uailean should have an idea on what was happening- the army would have a plan, surely.
"I don't know," he muttered in response, still staring at the tabletop. "What am I not sorry for at this point..." It wasn't a question, it was a statement, and probably not the answer she wanted. Now, his annoyance was just steeping onto himself; her words certainly didn't help. Her touch at his hand actually startled him, causing his gaze to finally lift back up to her face where his expression suddenly, and strangely, seemed to soften.
That is, until she spoke again.
'But, the sad reality of it all is, I'm going to have to deal with it now.'
Ciaran immediately drew his hand away. The chair practically screeched against the floorboards as he pushed it back, standing up from it. "I know you hate me, Terra, but don't for one moment think I'm not doing anything!" He was whisper-yelling now to make sure he didn't wake Myra again. "Nearly every coin I earn goes to you. Sorry it's not a fuckin' castle. I'm sorry that I'm not so willing to bring further trouble to my family." Trouble she would probably have brought right away if he had allowed it.
She had worked for them, she should know by now how prominent of a family the Lee Fryes were, the feud, the need to not falter too heavily in society. Of course he had panicked. Maybe, deep down, he knew his mother would have somehow made it right, but why did she constantly have to pick up her children's messes?

It would be so much easier to hate Ciaran Lee Fyre...Contrary to what he believed though, Terra didn’t hate him. She hated herself for still having feelings for him despite the last two years he’d put her through. She almost laughed, instead she drew her hand back and her face hardened as she stared at him. Niceties now gone, as they fell into their usual routine. Heated arguments while the toddler was sleeping.
They didn't all end up like that, but it sure felt like it was becoming more and more frequent with each of Ciaran’s visits, and Terra wondered if she just did it to get a rise out of him. To see how far she could push him before he just gave up, proving her right, or if he’d still stick around. Another part of her wondered if it was because it gave her his attention and that was why she did it.
She clenched her jaw, a fire forming in depths of her eyes as she let the anger she usually kept back, off it’s leash for a moment. If he thought she was upset about the house he had another thing coming. The house was more then fine for her, and that wasn’t what she was so upset about. What she was upset about was his lack of presence. The unpredictableness of his visits. How did she know if this one or the next one would be his last one?
“I could give two flying fucks, about whether or not we were in a castle or the money Ciaran. I know your family is important to you and I certainly don’t want to trouble them. Do you think I want to have the whole of the Lee Frye’s descending down on me? Do you not think I don’t know they could easily wipe me from existence?” She said staring at him. If it really came down to it, Ciaran could take Myra. He could take her and Terra wouldn’t have the manpower, money, or the resources to stop him. He could take their daughter from her and give her the life she deserved in the castle by the lake, and Terra could do nothing to stop him. She would be helpless against the Lee Frye’s. If he was a cruel man he could easily do it, and though she didn’t think that of him, the fear that he could if he wanted too, terrified her. “You have to remember something,” She whispered hotly, as she jabbed a finger over to where the bedroom was. “She is all I have.” She said with a defiant raise of her chin. “I’m the only stable thing she has, if anything happens to me how long would it take you to come see us? To find time away and then find not only one body but two?” It was harsh, but it was the sad truth. She was alone out here, save for a toddler who couldn’t take care of herself. “Do you know when you leave I wonder if it’s the last time I’m going to see you.” The bite left her tone and it was instead one that was tired. “I wonder if you’ll finally get sick of us, and or reach a point where you don’t want to be here.” She confessed. “You’re helping us with money Ciaran, but money isn’t what’s important. What’s important is that little girl and her knowing who she can depend on.” The words flowed from her mouth before she could really have any time to think about what she was saying. She was more venting at him then trying to explain her issues, but the reality was this situation was stressful on all parties involved.
Terra hated to have to rely on him when she didn’t fully trust that he could be reliable. There was a reason why Myra called him Kiki instead of Daddy. She refused to let Myra grow up like Terra had. Constantly asking her father “When’s Momma coming home?” Only to have her father snap at her that her mother was never coming back and had abandoned them. Not Myra. She refused to let her daughter suffer the way she had, even if she had to break her father and her own heart in the process.
