[CASSANDRA] She left the queen in the care of her handmaidens not too long ago to get herself ready. Edward had "requested" that she, and the rest of her family, represent Tresteria by their colors. Cassandra didn't find that black and silver were suitable for a wedding- being so steely and cold- but this wasn't something she was going to argue. So she dressed herself in a form fitting gown of black that trailed into a pale silver halfway towards the hem. The sleeves reached her knuckles and the collar just above her chin, but the back of it was bare to the wind. She kept her auburn curls up and off her shoulders with a simple, silver circle upon her brow. Cassandra made sure to arrive at the cliffs a little earlier to ensure everything was up to par...and it was breathtaking. The view was stunning, and the aisle was lined with candle-lit lanterns. It was a short time before sunset, so the lighting would not be overbearing and alight the ceremony perfectly. Now, all she had to do was sit and await Alexandria's arrival. Everyone else was set and ready. Green eyes flickered towards the altar where Aric waited patiently, offering him the brightest of smiles on pink-tinted lips.
[ARIC] Patiently? That was hardly the truth. He may have looked like it on the outside, but inwardly he was anxious and nervous. For awhile, as he waited, the beautiful scenery of the cliffs and the soft, distant noises of the crashing waves below had calmed his nerves. But that had only lasted so long. Now, he was fidgeting up there at the altar while all who were present had eyes on him, his brother, wondering when their Aralorian queen would arrive. Clearing his throat, he drew in a deep breath after while hands, for the millionth time, smoothed out that sharp black coat. He eyed the intricate silver designs that had been embroidered into it before catching his cousin's gaze, giving her a light smile in return. She'd be able to tell right away that he was nervous, if only because a small part of him was expecting something to go wrong. It was like a curse with him.
[ORIN] When the queen, his sister, asked if he would walk her down the aisle, he couldn't refuse. Although he had reservations against this marriage at first, and against Aric, he had learned to accept that this was what Alexandria wanted and that Aric was a worthy suitor. So, he was ready, waiting outside the castle for the bride to emerge. Despite him not wanting to, Orin dressed for the occasion--his jacket a dark blue with touches of silver design throughout. He was beginning to worry, the longer it took for Alexandria to come out. Was she having second thoughts? He was about to head in to check on her when the gate opened and Alexandria was stepping out with her ladies in tow, fussing over the small details of her appearance and ensuring her dress did not drag. He just stood there and stared for a moment. Sister or not, she was absolutely stunning. He had never seen her look as beautiful as this. A soft smile was given to her as he stepped over to her and took her arm. He leaned in and spoke softly, " You are absolutely stunning, 'Rora..." He led her to the carriage that would take them the short distance to the cliffs and helped her inside before entering himself.
[ALEXANDRIA] The entire day had been spent getting ready and trying to calm her own nerves. She still could not shake that nagging feeling that something was going to happen. Another attack from Saelis, perhaps? She had received warning from one of her handmaidens that it was time to leave. Another had shouted they were not done yet. Alexandria rolled her eyes slightly, not sure why they were making such a huge fuss over every little detail, but she was done sitting around, allowing her mind to worry about things. So she stood, and instructed them to finish as they walked, which they did, stopping her occasionally to make a fix in something, to add her headpiece and fix her hair. Even as she stepped outside the castle, they wouldn't leave her alone. She stood still, allowing them to finish whatever last minute details were left before she finally waved them off. Her smile crept onto her lips at Orin's comment. "You don't look too bad yourself." Finally, she was free of her maidens as Orin took her arm and led her to the carriage, a nervous sigh escaped her as she sat there.
[ORIN] He looked over at her, seemingly nervous and he reached over, placing a finger under her chin, forcing her to look at him, "Everything is going to be fine. Don't worry." But he understood, and he would do his best to keep her steady as she walked.
[ALEXANDRIA] A hesitant nod was given to Orin. She wanted to believe him, but why couldn't she get rid of that knot in her stomach? When they arrived at the cliffs, Orin had gotten out first and helped her out of the carriage. Her gaze took in the sky and how it was beautifully changing, painting various colors within the clouds. A deep breath was inhaled and she held it for a brief moment, before releasing. Her mind wandered to Aric and she wondered how he was doing. She would find out soon enough she supposed. At Orin questioning if she was ready, she took another deep breath and nodded, "I am." She took her place at his side and hooked her arm around his and they began their walk to the ceremony area. At her appearance, a voice called out to the small crowd, "Please rise for the Queen" Shortly after, the sound of a fiddle could be heard, playing a soft and slow melody for her to walk down the aisle to. She squeezed Orin's arm and began to slowly walk down that aisle. Her gown nearly glistened in the fading sunlight. A pale blue color, covered in lace and silver detailing on the sleeves and along the hem of the dress. It trailed behind her as she walked. The neckline was sheer, though it had a small trim around the neck as if replacing a necklace. Around her waist was a simple blue belt that matched the shade of her dress. Her hair was mostly left down, with exception of a braid that went along the side of her head. She wore a silver and crystal headpiece that was low on her head and covered part of her forehead. She truly was as breathtaking as Orin claimed she was. Silently, she walked down the aisle, her eyes falling to Aric as soon as she spotted him, her pale red stained lips instantly smiled and that nervousness she felt was soon to fade away.
[CASSANDRA] It would seem a lot of people, including herself, were beginning to wonder what was keeping their queen. For a fleeting moment, Cassandra wondered if she had somehow changed her mind...but she knew that wasn't likely. She had seen the love in Alexandria's eyes, reflected back within her cousin's- there was simply no way she had fled. And to assure the crowd, they would hear the soft sounds of an approaching carriage, followed by that voice indicating for them to rise. Immediately standing from her chair at the front, she was peering down that lantern-lit aisle to see the bride, escorted by Orin. She was smiling widely all over again because Alexandria was absolutely beautiful. Everything about this day was beautiful and even she suddenly forgot about the chill in the air because the love all around was heartwarming. Clutching her hands against her chest, her attention drifted towards Aric for a brief moment.
[ARIC] He tried not to worry about it...but the fact that he was was normal, right? Despite last night, despite all their shared words of love and honesty, there was that very tiny part of him that worried she changed her mind. Like this minuscule part of her that may have realized that this truly wasn't what she wanted. He never said he was a very smart man, but at least he'd come to realize how truly stupid that fleeting thought was. Especially when the voice announced her arrival, snapping him immediately out of his foolish thoughts. And suddenly, the world around him was twenty times better. She moved into view between the rows of people gathered who all awed at the sight of her. Alexandria wasn't just beautiful, she was breathtaking, she was exquisite, quite literally making him stop breathing for a long moment as he admired her. Certainly, he was about to be the luckiest man alive. Once the dumbfounded expression left his face, he smiled at her. A smile so wide that it reached his eyes. For a day he never thought would come, it suddenly hadn't come soon enough.
[ORIN] He held onto Alexandria's arm, keeping her steady if she should falter. He could tell she was nervous, and rightfully so. The woman had been single and sole ruler of Aralore, and that was all about to change.
Green-blue eyes glanced around through the crowd, instantly spotting Cassandra. She was gorgeous, but seemingly hiding her neck to avoid the marks he had left on her, from being visible. He couldn't stop that smirk that pulled on the corners of his lips. His eyes did not linger long and were quickly shifting to where Aric stood. That dumbfounded expression on his face was priceless. Finally, they had reached the end of the aisle and Orin kissed Alexandria's cheek before handing her off to Aric. He clapped his hand on the man's shoulder and smiled. "Good luck with her." He said with sarcasm before he stepped away and stood off to the side.
[ALEXANDRIA] Her gaze never faltered from Aric as she walked down what seemed like the longest aisle. He was the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on, she thought to herself. And he was about to become her husband. That smile remained on her lips as they finally reached the front and Orin was handing her off to Aric. She laughed at his comment and whispered to him, "he doesn't know what he is talking about." She took Aric's hands and stared into his eyes for a moment, until the officiant began the ceremony.
[ARIC] Time was suspended for a space of heartbeats, and he forgot momentarily everything else around them. There was only her lovely face before his eyes, only smile keeping the one upon his face beaming...until Orin was speaking. Aric returned the clap onto his shoulder with a gentle laugh before magnetically taking Alexandria's hands into his. Aric had found his voice and whispered back to her, teasing her even while they stood at the altar in front of everyone, "I'm not so sure about that." She was beautifully stubborn, he knew this. He even winked once before his back straightened a bit more.
[CASSANDRA] Goosebumps rose upon her skin beneath that gown when she caught Orin's eyes for that one, fleeting moment; her smile faltering only slightly because there was a different expression threatening to take over. Fortunately, his lingering gaze hadn't lasted long and she could pour her full attention into the ceremony that was to come. The sun was beginning to descend, basking the sky in even deeper magentas and blues. It was the perfect backdrop for this lovely couple, and she couldn't be any happier for them.
[OFFICIANT] The older man cleared his throat lightly to get Aric and Alexandria's attention, a way to gently urge them to hush before he rose his hands up to the air. The crowd also quieted, and he smiled at the couple before them. "We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one soul, now and forever." With a gesture, he silently requested that queen and prince face him. Then, he reached out for Alexandria's hand and placed it within Aric's. A white ribbon was softly wrapped around their entwined hands- a symbol of their union. He continued, "Let it be known that Alexandria Eveleigh of Aralore and Aric Demarais of Tresteria are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder." A silence lingered in the crowd, the anticipation growing. "In the sight of the holy, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity." His friendly, weathered eyes then looked between the two, "Now, look upon one another and speak your vows."
[ARIC] He could only move his gaze from Alexandria very briefly, watching as the priest bound their hands in that silken ribbon. But when allowed, he was watching the queen in amazement, still wondering how he had been so fortunate to get here. Upon needing to speak their vows, that was his cue to begin. Nervously, he reached for her other hand, running a thumb across her white knuckles as he studied those slender digits and spoke, "I find myself, every morning, wondering how lucky I am to be here. How fortunate I was to be blessed with such a woman who has managed to draw me from the very darkness of my own mind and into the light of her heart. Even while she battles her own demons, she has successfully helped me fight off my own." Those dark eyes rose to find her face again, fighting every urge to ruin this ceremony and kiss her. "You, Alexandria, have proved that there is still good in this world. That there is still a life to live, a purpose to fulfill. Against all odds, you somehow found it in you to love a broken man like me...and I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you, proving to you that you are- and will always be- the best thing to happen to me when I thought I was forever lost. I love you, with every piece of my being..."
[ALEXANDRIA] Everything about this ceremony was perfect. The view from the cliffs, the candle lighting.. Cassandra had set everything up and she couldn't be more appreciative. Her attention remained on the priest as he spoke, eyes moving to their hands as the ribbon was tied around them. She squeezed his hand lightly underneath the ribbon and smiled softly, glancing back to him when she could. As it was time to say their vows, she turned and let her gaze fall on Aric as he spoke, never leaving his eyes. At his words, her eyes began to well up with tears, but her smile never wavered. He had already told her all of these things before, but it still moved her. He felt fortunate and blessed? It was her who should be feeling these things for him, and she very much did. When Aric finished his vow, she whispered, barely audible, but her lips moved to say, "I love you..." It was her turn now, and she honestly wasn't sure she would be able to say how she really felt, or even begin to put it into words, but she would try. She inhaled deeply and held it for a moment, glancing down at their hands first before she found Aric's eyes again. "I was a woman lost in my own darkness...a war that had taken nearly everything away and I felt I had failed my people... my home...my own life. I was quickly losing all hope I had left. And then you were sent to me with very little expectation. This was not your home, your family, your life... But you did whatever you could to help. You became a friend to me...and then something more. You opened your heart to me despite feeling it was broken and unattainable. And you found your way into my heart... Two hearts...one soul." She smirked as she repeated his words to her last night. "Two broken hearts from one soul...had to search through all the darkness to find one another. And it happened. Quickly and out of nowhere..." She sighed softly and squeezed both his hands. "I am forever in your debt for all you have done for me.... and for Aralore. We would be honored to have you for our king.. This is now your home... And I promise to always keep you in my light... to never let you slip away into the darkness again. I will love you now and always..."
[OFFICIANT] He remained quiet and politely still as the two exchanged their vows, keeping his head down and his eyes to himself. When he looked back up, with a grin on his face, he placed a hand atop Alexandria's bound hand, and one beneath Aric's, holding them firmly in the center. "By the powers vested in me by the great powers above, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss to pledge your love." The old man stepped back and let go of their hands as applause resounded upon the cliffs.
[ARIC] His dark gaze was steady and full of a whirlwind of emotions as he watched her. The words she spoke tugged at his heart as well as the corners of his mouth up into yet another smile. He barely even noticed how the sun was nearly below the horizon and the air had become colder while the flickering candles of all the lanterns began to cast dancing shadows across the grass. Because all he saw was her. All he cared to know or see in that very moment was her. When the priest took their hands and solidified their union, he didn't even hesitate. While both their tied hands would go to her back so that he could grab her by waist and draw her closer, his free one was at her face. Aric leaned down and kissed his wife in a moment of quick desperation and love, knowing he probably shouldn't let it linger for too long.
[ALEXANDRIA] Her heart was fluttering in her chest as she finished her vows and the priest was taking their hands and completing the ceremony. She had barely heard him give them permission to pledge their love with a kiss, because Aric was already taking her into that desperate, loving kiss. She grinned as their lips touched and kissed him back, her free hand went to his face as well. She didn't want to pull away from him, but knew all eyes were on them. They'd have all night to kiss each other. She slowly and reluctantly broke their kiss, her hand lingered on his face for a moment before she let it fall, her smile was genuinely a happy one as she let her eyes linger on him. "I love you, " she spoke softly to him, not even noticing the crowd around them and their applause.
[ARIC] He was grinning again when she broke off that kiss, resting his forehead against hers in a quick moment of reprieve. The priest was coming forth to unbind their hands and allow them to make their way back down the aisle towards the carriage that would take them straight back to the castle. Aric had taken her hand along the way, barely getting a chance to say anything to her. Yet, when he helped her up into that carriage to follow behind her, and once that door closed, he was closing that gap between them instantly. Instead of talking, his mouth found hers in a sudden, passionate kiss.
[ALEXANDRIA] She couldn't take her eyes from Aric, even as the priest untied their hands and urged them back down the aisle. She walked alongside Aric, holding his hand until they were in the carriage and he was instantly attacking her with that passionate kiss. She grinned underneath his lips, pulling him closer to her as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back with as much passion and affection for him. With being so close now, he would be able to smell her new experimental scent of vanilla and jasmine. As the carriage began to move, it jerked forward and Alexandria fell against him. Laughing between that kiss, she went along with it and slid into his lap, deepening their kiss.
[ARIC] Arms were instantly wrapping around her waist when she fell against him, sliding onto his lap. Her laugh was infectious, causing him to smile, but he didn't want to stop kissing her. Not yet. He knew that once they returned to the castle, it would be a whole bunch of formalities and having to entertain people for hours...and he rather just entertain her. However, the carriage jolted again, nearly sending them sprawling, and he cushioned her head as they fell back against one of the doors. That was when he pulled his lips from her, chuckling lowly, and murmured, "I'm the luckiest man alive right now." He had completely forgotten what more was to come with marrying a queen, because he was just simply enamored with her.
[CASSANDRA] Those vows struck a chord within her. She hadn't shed a single tear during the entire ceremony, however, a couple fell from her eyes to trail down her cheeks. This was a wedding. This was love and something everyone deserved to find. At the thought, she couldn't help but turn her eyes to Edward in mild annoyance, at the man who had taken her choice away. She understood the affairs of royalty and bloodline...but that didn't mean she had to be happy about it. Cassandra could only hope that he left and forgot all about her, leaving Henry to live the rest of his life in a kingdom not ruled by a venomous snake. As the crowd began to dissipate, leaving the servants to clean up the remnants of the ceremony, she sat there for a long moment; drawing a shawl around her shoulders. Eventually she would get up and follow the people towards the other carriage and horses, and she wondered how long of a walk it would be. She was rather curious to see the library officially done up for the reception, so perhaps she shouldn't delay.
[ALEXANDRIA] It was a perfect, quiet moment for the two of them to share together as husband and wife, despite how short it would be. The rest of the evening they would most likely have to spend separated or unable to have any moments of privacy while they were together. So she cherished every moment of this kiss--until the carriage jolted them again. As their kiss broke, Alexandria laughed again until she heard Aric's murmur. She grinned and placed another quick kiss to his lips. "I am the luckiest woman alive right now." She spoke against his lips. "My husband... I love you." She smirked, the sound of that made her heart flutter. Alexandria, for the first time in a very long time, felt complete happiness.
[ORIN] Though he was listening to the ceremony, his eyes drifted around the ceremony spot, on guard for anything amiss. God forbid they were attacked again. He would stay ready for anything, though. When the ceremony finished, he watched Aric and his sister kiss, instantly seeing their affections for one another. He had to sigh because he had never expected this, at least not from Alexandria, who had become so lost in her grief. Though it was not hard to fall in love with the woman-- Aric must have been what she needed in order for her to let him in like that. He had told him that before-- It was easy to love Alexandria, but not easy to be let into her heart like he had.
As everyone began to filter out to head back to the castle, he remained, waiting until the last person left the area, before he'd begin the walk back to the castle, taking his time.
[ARIC] If he could get her to laugh like that every day, he would have succeeded. With her lips still against his, he kissed her lightly in between her words as if purposely trying to make it difficult (in which he was), before he drew back enough to speak. "And I love you...my wife." At first, he had worried that saying that word would have pained him. Would have brought his mind back to those painful memories he had struggled for so long to forget. But it was a matter of remembering the good things, and moving on from the bad. Alexandria gave him a chance to start anew and possibly do things better and differently, so he embraced it. "I suppose we really do need to go to this party, hm?" It was almost as though he was asking permission to skip out. Not that he really would...although he thought about it. A couple of times.
[CASSANDRA] Having taken her time, she couldn't help but notice Orin lingering back. She could tell by the way he appeared alert, his eyes always darting every which way, that he was ensuring the safety of the people...and most importantly, his sister. Maybe she shouldn't have, but she casually walked her way closer, pulling that shawl around her shoulders tighter. But, for once, her mind was filled with innocent thoughts. Mostly. She was allowed to seek the company of others. "Is it a far walk?" she inquired as others began to saddle up on horses and fill the carriages. As if not caring for the answer, she was talking once more. "It was a lovely ceremony...and your sister was absolutely beautiful." More so than she imagined. And now that the two were wed, Edward could sail his arse back to Tresteria and leave them be.
[ALEXANDRIA] She was grinning as he kept interrupting her words with his kisses. When he finally stopped, she laughed again until he spoke, and called her his wife. Her grin slowly turned into a more serious expression, but a smile remained on her lips. She honestly couldn't believe they were husband and wife now. It seemed like it was just yesterday that Aric arrived in Aralore and they had barely known one another, perhaps resenting one another for being arranged in what they thought would be a loveless marriage just for politics. Alexandria had been betrothed several times, but never married... Her relationships didn't seem to make it that far because of her horrible luck. Though perhaps, she wondered, if it hadn't worked out because Aric was the one she was meant to be with.
Another laugh escaped her throat at Aric's comment. It was quite tempting to skip out of the party, but they were all there expecting them. She let out an exaggerated sigh, "I suppose so... Perhaps we can sneak away early..." There was slight insinuation laced in her voice as she winked to Aric. "I have a surprise for you, anyway... Wait until you see where the reception will be."
[ORIN] He heard her voice from behind him and he stopped and turned to watch her coming towards him. When she caught up, he turned and began walking again. "It's not far." He finally answered when she was done rambling on. He glanced around and leaned in slightly so that only her ears would hear his words. "You are absolutely beautiful..." He looked straight ahead as he continued walking, not showing any emotion or looking to see her own. And after a lingering moment, he spoke again, though this time, not looking at her, "But I cannot see your neck..." He knew why, and his voice was filled with insinuation, as if he wanted to take her now and place kisses there, all along her neck. He fell silent then and continued to move along towards the castle. Orin wasn't sure how well he would be able to contain himself around her out in the public. He'd do his best though, as he did not want to get either of them into trouble or found out about. Especially with Edward still being here.
[ARIC] After all of that time fretting, arguing with his brother, with dreading what this union would do to both Aralore and its queen...he wasn't thinking any of those things. And within a blink of an eye, they were wed. It was almost sad, but he still wouldn't have had it any other way. Now they had the future to look forward to, one that he hoped was better for the both of them. With her insinuation, he was embracing her a little tighter, tilting his face into her neck where he inhaled some new scent on her skin. Alexandria was speaking, and he nearly became too absorbed in a task he wouldn't have been too keen on stopping. "Hm?" Aric drew back just enough to look at her. "A surprise? Where is it?" Clearly he didn't care about the "surprise" aspect.
[CASSANDRA] She hoped he didn't mind her tagging along, but she neither asked or took one of the carriages back either. It was getting colder, but to be truthful, she could use the fresh air right now, so she wouldn't mind terribly much. Cassandra, too, was trying to keep her facial expressions normal and casual, but it was a little difficult to when he complimented her like that, then made that comment. She couldn't help but laugh at that, biting her lip to desperately ignore the tone he used. Not now she kept telling herself. They'd never make it to the reception and it would certainly be noticed. "I apparently had a run-in with a vampire," she replied, drifting just a little closer to nudge his arm with her shoulder.
[ALEXANDRIA] They were husband and wife now, after a countless number of months they spent trying to hide their feelings and emotions from one another, scared to feel what they felt... And now, everything was out in the open. She only hoped that things would go well for them and that their love continued to grow. A soft giggle escaped her throat as he buried his face into her neck. Her fingers played with his hair, combing through it gently until he was drawing back asking her to divulge her surprise. She shook her head and grinned. "You will see..." It was funny how a moment that had been so torturous for them, was now a place of meaningfulness. She smiled to him, placing a kiss to his forehead. "Are you ready, or shall we stay in here all night?"
[ORIN] He didn't mind at all that she decided to tag along, but when she laughed at him, he looked at her with a serious expression. As if she were laughing at him and his desire. He didn't laugh, and just turned his attention ahead as they continued to walk. Though, when she mentioned she had a run-in with a vampire and nudged him, he chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "I was not sober then..." Otherwise, he may not have left marks on her. It was evidence. Had she been some dimwitted woman, she may not have bothered covering it--alowing others to become suspicious. He nudged her back lightly. He dared not speak anything else that was running through his mind in that moment, so he remained silent.
[ARIC] Although the library had become a room full of many different memories, he'd not think of it for a reception. Maybe it was why he looked so completely and utterly confused right now. At her question, though, he grumbled upon feeling the carriage come to a stop. She really shouldn't ask him that... because, yes, he would stay in here all night with her instead of dealing with pleasantries and the likes of his brother. The man hadn't spoken a single word to him yet this evening, and Aric wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. He should be happy this marriage happened, no? With a sigh, he let his gaze drift over her while she rested in his lap, fingers tracing over the intricate embroidery of her gown. It was truly beautiful, but only because she wore it. It was so lovely, in fact, that for the briefest of moments he didn't wish to see her out of it. A very brief moment. Nearly forgetting that she had asked a question, he sighed in half exaggeration. "I suppose we should head on in." The others were still making their way from the cliffs, so at least they'd have a couple minutes more to themselves. Easing her off of him, he'd exit the carriage first before helping her out.
[CASSANDRA] She had to laugh. She had to do anything but stare at him because that, clearly, always got her into trouble. So even while he was looking all broody-serious, she couldn't get rid of that smile. "Fortunately, it's the winter season," she commented in amusement. As much of a pain as it might be to have to cover them up, they sent a strange shiver down her spine whenever she saw them. As though he had been claiming territory...and she had quickly realized how okay she was with that notion. While the silence fell and they neared the castle, Cassandra wanted to do nothing but reach down for his hand. Despite everyone being ahead of them, she wouldn't risk it. Such a simple thing, as it was, could not be chanced right now. "So, will I be able to call upon you for a dance, Mr. Evans?" A wry grin on her lips, she wondered if he ever danced a day in his life.
[ORIN] Winter was fast approaching, and it was always a hard time for Aralore. Crops were hard to grow and the kingdom mostly became quiet as everyone stayed indoors. At her comment, he just let out a noise in response, along with a simple nod. "Mm." He wasn't a huge fan of the winter, but maybe if he could have her keeping his bed warm, he wouldn't mind it as much.
When she questioned him about dancing, he raised a brow and shook his head. "I don't dance..." Of course he had been forced to several times, but if he could avoid it, he would.
[CASSANDRA] They were coming upon the castle as others were slowly filtering in; their conversations filling the cold air. After minutes of walking, Cassandra would be glad for the warmth of the fires, although she had other ideas at the back of her mind. Ideas she could only portray in that green gaze when she shifted sidelong to him. Lips parted slightly, mulling over his response and one she had a feeling he would share, before answering, "I'll take that as a challenge, then..." Moving passed him to follow behind an elderly couple, her fingers gently brushed across his own before she proceeded inside, anxious to see the library all done up.
[ORIN] He had caught that glance from her and smirked slightly. Yes, his mind was wandering to similar thoughts, and he couldn't help but wonder when they'd be able to have another private moment together.
At her comment he just glared at her. He wasn't going to dance, and he'd like to see her try this so called challenge she spoke of. His eyes followed her as she moved passed him, but she was touching his lips with those delicate fingers of hers. Eyes watched her curiously until she turned her back, and he let his eyes fall to her perfectly shaped behind that her dress showed off so nicely. He moved slowly behind her, entering the castle quietly.
