PERSONALITY :: Cavan is a strong-willed, stubborn, tough man who at times can come off as cold, uncaring, and hard. He is not one to show affection or approval, but if he cares about, loves, or thinks of someone as a friend, he is very subtle about his feelings, but it’s unmistakable and one just knows that he cares. He has his own way of showing his affections and approval of things. Most of the time, he puts his wants and needs aside for what everyone else needs, and he never complains because his family and clan always come first and are most important to him.

LIKES :: Campfires, hunting, his clan and seeing them happy and safe, building things, knives and his bow, his beautiful daughters, watching others sing and dance and laugh.

DISLIKES :: Clan Drach, seeing anyone cry, being hot, ignorance, loud noises.

GRAMARYE GIFT :: Wind Auditory Perception: Can hear sounds/ voices carried by the wind. As the sound travels, it becomes quieter/ harder to hear. He doesn’t hear everything, only when he actively tries to listen.

ABOUT CAVAN ::

• Cavan is the third son (out of five), born to Elspeth and Fergus. His father was very strict and fairly unemotional. He raised his sons to be strong and good fighters. Cavan would never admit or talk about it, but his upbringing was rather difficult. However, he feels it has molded him into the strong, stubborn man he has aged into.

• He grew up stubborn and determined to succeed with his life and he became heavily involved with the clan, hoping that one day he could become chief of the Fionain clan.

• He met his wife, Eileen as a young boy, The two instantly became friends and eventually, they developed a love for one another. Cavan always said she was the love of his life and he would never find another like her that would win his heart.

• While most men would have preferred having sons, Cavan was almost relieved he had daughters. He did not wish to be like his father with raising boys. Leandre and Niamh had softened him (just a bit), and the two mean the world to him.

• When the previous chief died of an accidental fall from the trees, the clan decided to name Cavan their new chieftain, to which he accepted without hesitation. He was a natural-born leader and took good care of the clan.

• When the Fionain clan was attacked by the Drachs, over their desire to take over their territory, the battle caused a lot of loss, including the life of Cavan’s wife. He hardly had the time to properly grieve her, and sort of keeps that to himself. The clan had always come first over his own emotions, and so he put all of his focus and grief into ensuring the Fionain clan was safe and well.

• While the clan had always been skilled in keeping themselves hidden in the trees, Cavan strengthened the clan by training them to be the spies and guardians of Aldsage. They are the eyes and ears and quite skilled at dive-bombing the enemy, or sniping with their bows, from up in the trees. There became more of a reason to try and prevent the Drach's from ever attacking them or any other clans. Although they keep to themselves mostly, other clans have begun to seek them out for intel.

• Cavan hopes that someday, one of his daughters will follow in his footsteps in becoming the clan's leader. He is incredibly proud of the young women they have become and although it may seem he always puts the clan first, his daughters are the most important thing to him.

Tier 2 Character:
As chief of the Fionain clan, he can pretty much do or go wherever he wishes to, and be involved in as much or as little as he wishes to. His restriction is mainly due to the fact that he wants to make sure he is with his clan and they are protected, especially his daughters, so if he does venture out, he does so in a way that will ensure he is leaving his clan in good hands.
