Seoras's eyebrows about climbed off his face at the word that had left Cian's mouth. A Degraff?! Now that was more rebellious than anything Seamus & Seoras had ever even dreamed of doing. He couldn't decide if that was impressive or terrifying. What he knew for sure was that it could turn their whole world upside-down.
"Huh." was all he said as Seamus turned and met his eye. The look in Seamus's bright eyes told Seoras they were already on the same wavelength. It might be madness, but they'd support Aoife and her happiness to the grave if they had to. He followed his twin's gaze back to Aoife and waited patiently for her answer--although based on her reaction so far, he had a feeling the answer was yes.

Oh this was bad, not as bad as it could have been but it was still bad. At least it hadn’t been Lee or Niall or Eoghann… that was one small blessing at the very least. She scrunched up her nose (though not in disgust, but rather confusion- as though she was working through an uncomfortable thought process) when Seamus blurted out about changing her name to Ciaran. He was right. This was a betrayal, against the family, against their name- and yet Aoife couldn’t bring herself to regret a moment of it. At least Ciaran hadn’t been caught with ‘the enemy’ at least Ciaran had brought a much hoped for grandaughter out of his dalliances, at least Ciaran had come clean to their mother- albeit eventually.
Aoife had done none of that. No chubby cheeked little girl to soothe their mother’s ire. The fact that Cian DeGraff was a noble, from a family of equal if not greater standing than the Lee Fryes would do nothing to lessen the trouble she was going to be in.
Aoife was almost ready to get on her knees and beg her younger brothers to keep this secret, to grant the guardsman and the mystic just a little more time to understand just what was happening between them (or at least to run away and escape being disowned or quite possibly burned alive). But then Seamus said something which knocked Aoife back a little in surprise.
’Are you serious about him?’
”I am. All in.” She said quickly, not missing a beat or pausing to think, grey eyes finally meeting those of Seamus. She was serious, completely and utterly. Afterall, it had been Cian that had brought her back from the edge- convinced her that her heart could beat again after being frozen cold for so long.

I am. All in.
Seamus almost heard the sound of a gavel coming down hard. Making the words his sister spoke become set in stone. She hadn't hesitated, and she met his eyes. He could see the seriousness in those blue depths and for a moment it shook him to his core. She'd been in such a bad place before after her husbands death. Her light, that Lee-Frye fire had dimmed, and as Seamus looked at her, he could see that those embers had been stoked and that fire returned.
And it was thanks to a DeGraff.
Of course it was a DeGraff.... Whatever hostility Seamus might have had towards the other man slowly began to dissipate. He was still going to be protective of his sister, but the fact she was "all in" with him, was a lucky thing. It meant Seamus wasn't going to threaten to blow him up as much.
He let a long sigh out threw his nose, and straightened up, looking at his brother once more as they had that creepy "twin conversation" that didn't require words. He arched an eyebrow and pursed his lips and then turned his gaze towards his sister and her chosen prospect. "Do you guys need somewhere to meet up?" He asked slowly. "Or to cover for you?" He asked, his eyes flickering to Aoife.
