She was never going to hear the end of this. She could already hear the teasing, and feel her over all suffering over this. It was bad enough with the Gargoyle having taken her drunk ass home the one night from the tavern, but now she was going to just add to her woes. Lillia had no choice though. The best way to ensure she didn't have to dance with anyone at the upcoming ball at the Lee Frye estate to already have a date. And she couldn't very well go to a ball with her cousin. No, she needed an actual date. And Nicholas Cawdor was the only man she knew that might be up for the task.
That is, should he choose to accept.
Her social anxiety was so bad, she would do anything to get out of going to the ball, only by now her parents had picked up on her habits, and she knew Cami wasn't going to let her get out of it. So, she had to "cheat" the system as she was seeing it. If she had to beg the Gargoyle she would.
It was the end of the day with training. Lillia had waited all day so she could go home directly after and hide rather then having to see him for the rest of the day if he turned her down. The downside to that plan, was her mind was distracted, and it was rather obvious with the sergeant getting after her more than usual. At one point he'd dragged her off the to the side and to make sure she was actually alright because she wasn't acting herself. After telling him she just had a lot on her mind, he'd told her to pull her head out of her ass then and focus, or he'd send her home.
It had certainly set a fire under her butt to actually start paying attention more, and by the time training was done, she felt the usual soreness from a good workout. The nerves started to kick in though, knowing she had to ask Nick now, or else she'd miss her chance. If she didn't do it now, it wouldn't give him time to prepare. So, she found his stupid blonde head head in the mix of his friends, leaving the training yard. Of course he was with others.. Mr. Social butterfly...
Internally groaning, Lillia began to start Jogging over. "Hey Cawdor!" She called, hoping he'd hear her. "You got a second?" She asked, slowing to a walk as she neared the group. Forcing herself to look at Nick and not his friends, as well as try to keep her face from turning bright red.
Here went nothing...
