It was certainly that time of year again, meaning it was going to get warmer out and the work around home was going to pick up. Meaning, Tavia was going to have to make her self scarce again at rather convenient, or inconvenient depending on who you asked, times of the day when work was to be done. It wasn't that Tavia didn't know the meaning of hard work. She'd seen her family being the prime example and poster children for it, she just had a terrible work ethic. She didn't want to be a farmers daughter, or continue to live on the farm until she was old and grey. She wanted a better life, a house of her own with no worry about feeding animals or worry about making sure they'd make enough profit this year. She wanted to live comfortably, maybe even have her own little adventure, but mostly....
She dreamed of that knight in shining armor, riding up the muddy drive on his white stead to rescue her from the farm and whisk her away. Her constant little dream and hope.
The festival was certainly a welcoming sight to Octavia, as it gave an actual reason for her to not work. The only down side was spending time with her family rather then seeing what sort of men she could lure in, but she supposed one day of family bonding wasn't so bad. The Fortune teller was a something she was rather curious about, and like the rest of her siblings she waited her turn before she ducked into the tent. A coy smile on her face as she sat down and adjusted her skirts before she paid the lovely woman and then picked out her cards.
