With spring upon them, Atlas was going to find himself even more busy. Needing to prep for the new harvest, and getting the fields ready. His poor sleeping on top of the extra work was leaving him more exhausted then usual, though he noticed that Daphne was trying to help pick up some of the slack, and Atlas was about ready to sit Octavia down and have a bit of some harsh words with her, that she was needed at the farm, to actually work. But Atlas was also too soft hearted, to kind, and too much of a big brother to tell Tavi what she needed to do when she was old enough to make her own decisions. He just wished she could do her part and help.
He was up early that morning to feed the animals, and was mucking out the horse stall when Daph had finally come down to help. Between the two of them and August helping out, they were done in no time and after breakfast, rather then going to see what fences needed mending the family decided to go to the festival. There wouldn't be a need for work today, as it was their own little treat. He could practically see Perci and Tavi foaming at the mouth to go, even if Tavi had been ordered that it was a family outing and that she needed to stay with the family..
Atlas felt sick. Since the war, and even before it, he hated crowds and people. What was worse, he could already feel the half hazard glances as people saw his scars, could already hear the whispers... He knew it was all in his head, but that didn't help his anxiety at all. But...he'd relented, allowing Persephone to drag him along. A small smile on his face at seeing her so happy.
As they passed a fortune tellers tent, nearly all his sisters had practically begged him to do it, and with Perci's gentle encouraging, Atlas found himself awkwardly entering and sitting down. Avoiding eye contact as he placed a few coppers on the table for the woman. "'Ullo." He murmured quietly, while he picked his cards.
