Today was proving to be rather interesting and lively, he thought. It was also nice to take a break from the farm and all the other miscellaneous jobs he took on, and just relax. He wondered if Liam was impressed that he hadn't slacked off too much yet. There had been that one day for a couple of hours, but whether or not his brother believed him, he had a legit reason. That happened to be the day Teagan thought downing nearly a whole bottle of dandelion wine was a brilliant idea.
Anyway, because he was curious (although any fortune of his was probably not going to be ideal), Keiran waited his turn to make his way into the fortune teller's tent. Dark eyes immediately wandered around before resting upon the veiled face at the table. His lips pursed in thought, for a moment wondering if he knew her. Like, knew knew her...and staying here probably wouldn't be such a good idea if that was the case. She might curse him or something.
After a moment of figuring that he was safe, he sat himself across from her. "Alright, let's see how much of my future I'm gonna feck up, yeah?" Maybe he shouldn't be grinning at that.

"Optimistic, aren't you?" the woman teased, laughing softly.
The fortune-teller shuffled the deck once more, then asked her guest to split it into three stacks. After combining the three again, she drew out three cards and laid them face up on the table.
PAST: V The Hierophant
"First, your past. You were living within the confines of society's rules and expectations. The Hierophant could also represent a strong masculine figure, one who is fixated on rules and discipline--even if their system of rules doesn't necessarily match society's.
PRESENT: Four of Wands - Reversed
"It appears that figure or power is no longer regulating you. At present, you are feeling insecure and unstable--perhaps even unwelcome. You lack roots now that you've freed yourself from the Hierophant. Freedom from rules and expectations sounds like bliss when we live under them, but without them, it can be hard to find a direction."
FUTURE: XI Justice - Reversed
"Lastly, your future. I wouldn't say you've "fecked it up" to your earlier jest...but at the very least, you're thinking of pursuing a path of retribution, or avoiding your responsibility. You're fleeing from a judgment of some kind."
The fortune-teller paused, considering her words carefully. "Justice Reversed is...fairly self-explanatory. It's the opposite of Justice. What you're considering, or daydreaming about… I don't know that it's the right choice. I know that telling people not to do something often makes them want to do it out of spite, and I know that what I'm saying isn't appealing. However, please do hear me. Things are off-balance without your old compass--whoever that Hierophant was. Perhaps you need to find an internal compass, instead. What matters to you? What do you feel is just? You can choose what guides you, it doesn't have to be that person's old way. You'll feel it in your gut."
The fortune-teller abruptly cleaned up the cards and shrugged. "This is all up for interpretation. You don't have to agree with me...but if any of this hits home, I hope you'll give it some thought."
