Prim had heard of the fortune teller, and instantly wanted to go and check it out. She had a secret fasination for craft, along with pendulums and palm reading. As if your fate could easily be told, but also change. Most people thought it was silly to think such things, and Primrose went along with their laughs, though she kept her book safely hidden that she occasionally brought out and studied. Anthony used to tease her about it, but it was her guilty pleasure.
She wanted to see what fate had in store for her.
She was at the fair with her children, and husbands family. Though she was sure her brother and Zander were here as well, her older two were practically in seventh heaven as they rushed from stall to stall while an uncle chased after them or her mother in-law did. Timmy had managed to finally wear himself out and was sound asleep in Primrose's arms. Her cheek gently resting against her toddler son's head as she felt his breath on her neck. She'd told Sandra she was going to go find a quiet place for him to nap in, and had seen her opportunity to sneak into the fortune tellers tent.
Her blue gaze looked to and fro, making sure she wasn't seen before she slipped in. She kept an arm tucked up under Timmy, while the other lightly rubbed his back, and she smiled gently at the Fortune teller as she came in and sat down. "Hello," She spoke softly, being mindful of the sleeping babe. There was an excited glint in her eyes, despite how much she tried to hide, as she picked her cards.

The fortune teller smiled beneath her veil as she shuffled the deck once more, then asked the woman to split it into three stacks. After combining the three again, she drew out three cards and laid them face up on the table.
Embrace: VII The Chariot
The chariot card shows a figure on a chariot, filled with energy and drive. This is the spirit you need to embrace, one of forward movement and change. No longer can you remain stagnant as you are, tied down by fear of the future and regret for the past.
Accept: Six of Wands - Reversed
This one, which would normally stand for confidence or success--its reversed. You are feeling lonely, unrecognized, unsupported. You need a community to support you; there's no shame on that. Accept that you need something, and then be the chariot, seek it out. Do not try to continue alone or reject the way the universe is trying to push you.
Let Go: XII The Hanged Man
Last, but not least, the Hanged Man, also reversed. And the message of the cards repeats! Let go of stagnation and self doubt. You cannot flourish as you are. Seek your happiness, dear heart.
The fortune teller reaches out to take Prim's hand. "This is only advice, you may choose to ignore it. But remember that you always have a choice. The universe deals us a hand, but we are the ones who choose how to play it ."
