Alone, she likes to walk barefoot in the sand and explore cave, given she barely had a childhood, she has a lot of wonder and curiosity at new things. Amaris has always felt at peace alone and practicing her magic, having very few friends, she learned to thrive on being alone and not letting it get to her.
If she can find some positive, she will. It is difficult for her to remain negative but it is possible. In private, in her rooms though, she allows her emotions to all show but as silently as possible. From how deeply she feels to how much she has repressed, Amaris only lets these things out in privacy. Maybe one day she will open up with the depth of her emotions but until then, she'd keep things in layers.
HISTORY:
Amaris was born in another country with vastly different rules than her own. Her father had taken the throne from the living family there and married a daughter of the previous King to solidify his reign. His wife, Amaris's mother, would be a shell of the woman she once was but she would go to have her older brother Caster and then two years later Amaris herself. She was raised to be a proper princess, learning how to entertain and sit beside her husband one day.
With the laws of her countries lands, she learned how to fight as well and she showed promise with her use of two short swords. Even though she was a princess, she could fight if she had to. With the aid of the natural magic that was given to the women of the country, she used it to her advantage and it was apart of her and praised.
As time went on though tensions grew in sister countries, so she would spend time sending letters to a fellow Princess in Teronna. They met on occasion, visiting each others countries but most of the time they penned and sent things back and forth. It was great to have someone she could talk to that was similar to her.
As the tensions boiled, Amaris would have only just celebrated her twentieth birthday when hell broke loose. The castle was under siege by barbarians from the south that managed to sneak in and invade, killing anyone who looked remotely noble. Her brother, the new king, did what he could to protect his baby sister but she would be forced to watch as he was slain before her eyes. She had to be dragged away by his own personal royal guard who was set on making sure that Amaris got away.
A ship was already at the ready and while dressed in her birthday gown she whisked away and they went to their allied country of Teronna. A messenger sent ahead of them while the princess was in silent shock on the ship. Her hand was burnt from the fires that had spread in the castle and her arm broken and shoulder dislocated from the fighting that went on inside the castle.
Arriving at the country, she would be welcomed by the King and his daughter Princess Cera. She would become a ward to the King, the man kind enough to now take in the orphaned foreign princess.
She would learn though, that living in Teronna was nothing like her home in The Mores but she would learn to adapt over time.
