CHIEFTAIN
Arguably, the Chieftain is the best warrior in the clan or the one that possesses the best leadership qualities. This individual is looked to for guidance and calls the shots.

SECOND IN COMMAND
This individual is selected by the Chieftain, to lead in their place. They are usually a seasoned warrior who also have good leadership qualities, and only take orders from the chieftain.

VETERAN WARRIORS (must be aged 30+ to be considered a Vet)
These warriors have seen their fair shares of battles, and their scars and experience make them valued individuals and teachers to the younger warriors.

WARRIORS
The men and women who have been tasked with protecting the clan.

WITCH DOCTORS/SHAMANS/PRIESTS
This individual is the head healer, and acts as an advisor of sorts to the chieftain. They commune with the clan’s gods, and are in charge of leading any major ceremonies/rituals the clan might have (example: they officiate weddings, do sacrificial things to bring the clan good luck, ect.) Every clan might have a different name for this individual.

HUNTERS
This individual is responsible for hunting and gathering the clans' food. They’re skilled in stealth and tracking.

HEALERS
Most clan’s healers come from Sigferth one way or another, as they often travel and offer their services, or have been taught by a Sigferth healer at some point in their life. These individuals are responsible for tending to the wounded and the sick.

CLANSFOLK
Your non-combative clan members might have other jobs within the clan that don’t consist of learning combat (unless you're a Drach clan member, in which case, everyone knows how to fight).

CLAN KOTORI
This clan differs from the rest, and have different ranks among themselves.

Chieftain: The Feannagan [currently NPC]
The Kotori have three leaders that act as a council of sorts and govern over them.

Shadows:
The only ones allowed to leave the cave, they are the best skilled in stealth and combat. They act as the clan’s hunters and are responsible for feeding the clan.

Infiltrators: [admin approval required]
These individuals are tasked with infiltrating one of the clans. They’re highly skilled with deceit and deception and must be able to think and act quickly. They are only ever in a clan for a short period of time, ranging from 2 weeks to 3 years. They never spend more time in a clan than what is required, and they only ever do it if they have to. This individual knows as much about the clan they’re infiltrating as they can. It’s very dangerous for any infiltrator to be in the Drach or Wynfrid Clans.

The Paidhir Pairs:
Every Kotori has a paidhir, or a partner they leave the cave with if they’re allowed. This person is the person they trust the most in the clan, as the paidhir is the one you would trust your life with. Their role is to protect you from anything outside the clan, but their role is to also kill you if you prove yourself a traitor.

Border Guards:
Combat in Sigferth is quite limited. They rely heavily on the protection of the mountains for the safety of their main settlement. Approximately 4-5 people stay in a cabin near the end of the mountain pass and take turns watching the only manageable path that leads towards the populated areas. Two will go on watch at a time, and if travelers approach, one will go down to check their reasons and escort them. If they do not signal approval to the others, the archers will shoot down the travelers.
