In the face of the attack by the Unseelie, Sebastian had a lot on his mind. Well, okay, that was entirely bullshit. He had the same things on his mind as usual, the King simply was a lot more on his ass about it. the Warden Inquisitor was happy to be given a little more free reign to pursue his duties. The gathering had shed some new light on a lot of things. New recruits for one. Those who were quite good at there jobs another. And new targets.
In the wake of the scuffle, some Unseelie that hadn't been killed outright had been captured. Others had gotten away. The Wardens wouldn't allow any of those opportunities to simply slip through their fingers. He nearly had his orders prepared. But it had been a while since he checked in with a few of his soldiers personally. 'Personal' was not a word that described the taciturn captain in anyway. Normally, he had an Imperator to handle that sort of thing. But he hadn't been rushed to fill Alasdair's position. Now, however, he needed to begin considering his options.
Luckily, most of the Wardens were fellow soldiers or even guards. The tricky bit was the fact he was a commoner and many of them were not. As Wardens, rank didn't matter. Sebastian could give or take propriety. But there was a level of entertaining he needed to do to avoid drawing suspicion. Even luckier, he happened to pass @vance in the halls. If the Bolton was a psychopath, Sebastian didn't seem to outwardly notice.
"Captain," he greeted appropriately, his words clipped and empty of emotion. "How is the family?" It wasn't a real question. Yes, he was asking about the man's family, not he didn't entirely care, but really, it was a code. Family here meant the Wardens. Not something one could say in the halls, of course. Well...maybe Sebastian was asking about the guy's family too and not just suggesting he wanted to talk. It was...quite difficult to tell.
