On the outskirts of Ethion City, you will find a long, winding drive with large Spanish willows, maples, and pines. Surrounded by these woods, you soon find the drive opens up to a perfectly manicured lawn with a large stone wall. The gate to the estate has twisting bramble like vines that grow not only on the gate but also on the walls, along with the occasional ivy and blackberries. Entering through the large gate, you will be greeted by the haunting, gothic structure called Bramblewood.
The estate has belonged to the Bolton family for decades. Its gothic architecture is both hauntingly beautiful and terrifying. Outside the house's main steps are two large stone serpents acting as sentries to those who wish to visit Bramblewood.
The grounds surrounding the estate are woodlands, but there are few smaller buildings on the grounds. One of these is a surprisingly clean and well cared for kennel for the family's hunting dogs. The others are sheds for the gardens, stables, and other service buildings.
Within Bramblewood proper, the home is lavishly furnished in a dark wood, silver, pewter, velvets, and silks. While it is as foreboding as the aura projected by its owners, however, the home is perfectly comfortable.
The darkest secrets are hidden in the cellar, where there is a hidden entrance leading to a thing of nightmares. What appears to be a simple network of tunnels is home to the Bolton family's true, violent nature. If you follow the main tunnel, you will find it leads to a series of prison cells. The doors on these cells are metal, with only a small upper window, lined with bars to let in light, and a small metal flap to slide food in under the door.
Beyond these cells are more halls leading to various rooms. Several have been equipped with various torture devices, and one room, the one kept coldest, has been set up as a morgue. There is one tunnel that leads off the estate land. This tunnel's entrance is well hidden from the outside and provides an easy way in and out of the estate without being spotted. It is a five-mile walk to Ethion from this tunnel entrance.
