FACTS ::

• The only daughter to Brendan and Siobhan de Sardet, and twin to Raize. The de Sardets are a well-known merchant family of Teronna, specializing in overseas trade but domestic as well.
• The de Sardets are greatly supportive of the current monarch, Allarick Le'Orin, but family and their security always comes first. Survival and adaptability are first and foremost the most important thing to them.
• While her brothers are expected to either serve the crown as knights or inherit the family's business, her father still has traditional expectations for her to marry into a wealthy, noble family. However, he's made it clear to her that he'll be entertaining of her desire to join the military as well, in order to provide further security to the family. Siobhan, on the other hand, wishes Raina would drop this need to "be a warrior" and settle down. Still, she attempts to be outwardly encouraging.
• Magic runs in the de Sardet bloodline, though it has become rare throughout the latest generations. Because of the king's war against the Mystics, the family desires to suppress any magic to avoid detection. Raina seems to not have inherited any gramarye ability. A year ago, Siobhan's brother vanished. No one knows for sure what happened, but everyone in the family knows he was a Mystic and was a bit of a loud drunk. It's not a stretch for internal family rumor to speculate he was caught using his magic.
• Being twins, she and Raize were always close growing up. They developed their own little language, and when one was in trouble, the other wasn't often far behind. Like the sun and moon, Raina is opposite in almost everything. Where her brother is a bit more quiet and reserved, she likes the whole room to know she exists. Where he has this rather amusing lack of understanding for humor, Raina is often smiling and laughing, or poking fun. Regardless, she always had and continues to do anything for him. That sisterly affection transferred to Aiden as well from the very moment he was born.
• Although she and her twin do not possess magic (thus far), Aiden does and the whole family knows of it. Along with Raize, she's concerned that their younger brother will overstep and make a mistake. Even if the Wardens have simply been stories told to frighten children into keeping in line, Raina is quite aware that the war on magic is real, and she doesn't know what she would do if Aiden was ever found out.
• Raina is a bit of a tomboy and blames it on growing up with two brothers. Against her mother's wishes, she took sheers to her own hair and cropped it short, about chin-length because she was tired of it always getting in the way during training. If she can get away with wearing trousers instead of a dress, she will.
• Joined the army later in life and it is where she met and became good friends with fellow soldier, Lillia St. James .
