Now, love is just another leap of faith.
But I jump right in.
Face Claim: Elle Fanning

CHARACTER NAME: Persephone Marston
AGE: 21
CURRENT RESIDENCE: Aralore
APPEARANCE: Perci is a tall, thin young woman with extremely fair skin. She loves the sunshine but has to be careful to wear a sunhat to avoid burning her shoulders and cheeks (she often fails to do so, and winds up with a gentle sunburn across her nose and the apples of her cheeks). She keeps her almost white-blonde hair loose much of the time, as is tradition for unmarried women. She prefers lighter fabrics and soft pastel colors or white when possible, although she does wear heavier layers in winter.
MARITAL STATUS: Unwed
FAMILY TIES: Siblings - @castor , Atlas Marston , Octavia Marston , @ ? || Parents - Isadora Marston & @theseus
POSITION/OCCUPATION: Farmer
TITLE/RANK: Commoner
GRAMARYE GIFT: none
PERSONALITY:
Perhaps the simplest way to describe Persephone is naive. She knows about the birds and the bees, she's got a general idea of how the world around her works, and she thinks she's an adult who's ready to face it. But she's also still young, and fairly sheltered thanks to spending most of her time on her family farm. Her siblings watch out for her, and as the youngest, she's often treated as a baby even if people don't mean to. It's all done with love! But she often wishes that people saw her as more grown-up. Persephone gets along well with her siblings, and is extremely attached to the cow, Daffodil. She tells the cow all her worries and secrets while caring for her.
She's got good common sense and a sweet heart, but she often jumps into things without being fully aware of the possible consequences or dangers. She always wants to be helpful, and will volunteer to do things for neighboring families when she can. She likes to gift people baked goods when they are feeling down. (Cake makes her feel better, so it should work for other people too, right?) She rarely gets angry because not much will trigger that for her; insulting her sister or telling her she's just a child will get a sharp reaction, though.
Oh, and don't be cruel to animals while Persephone is around...whatever you do to them, she might try to do to you to "see how you like it."
I found out
It's not the love that's in your mind
It's the love that you might find
That's gonna save our lives
LIKES: romance novels, cows, daisies, walking in the woods
DISLIKES: being shouted at, people who mistreat her siblings, being treated like a baby
HABITS: goes on random walks without telling the family, falls asleep under the willow tree by the wheat field
SELF IMAGE: Persephone thinks of herself as a smart and competent young lady who is ready to face the world. She's just not quite sure where to start.
REPUTATION: She's known for being sweet and forgiving, the sunshiny Marston as compared to Octavia Marston who is a totally different force of nature.
HISTORY:
Persephone is the youngest Marston daughter, raised on their wheat farm with the others. Her family stayed with their land when Aralore fell to Saelis; it was their home, and all that they had. They couldn't' afford to just pick up and leave. Things were rough at times when she was young, but everyone in the family contributed as much as they could. She joined the family in celebrating when the rightful queen returned. When Alexandria asked her people to move with her, they followed without hesitation.
Their farm started out with a bit of difficulty building things up from scratch on a new island, but they managed to have fairly good crops. The year of the war was the worst so far, but they are hoping that this coming year will be their best one yet, and they can help their homeland continue to grow.
Persephone has decided that since she's 21 now, it's time for her to get married. The only problem is finding a good man to sweep her off her feet like one of her romance novels. She's looking for love and adventure, probably in all the wrong places. After all, life isn't a romance novel...is it?
