. N e m e s i s. slowly nodded as she thought for a moment about a solution around that. She seemed stumped for a moment until she thought of something. "I will write letters then. And find a way to have them sent without taking a ship." She nodded, her words weren't spoken as a question of if she could do it, but spoken as if she had finalized it and it would be done. She pulled her cloak tighter around herself and changed the subject. "Have you heard of Thais and that he returned and they left for the queen again?" She raised a brow, head tilting slightly in curiosity as she watched him. "What do you think of him?" Her eyebrows furrowed and she fell silent once again, waiting to hear a hopefully honest .a n s w e r .
He nodded to what she had said.. - " There's nothing wrong with that.. Could send it with a merchant ship that goes through. I'm just saying our ships, Avalendor's ships can't abandon the Isle even one night right now because we are on the brink of a war...- He'd fall silent then to listen to what she had to say about this ranger from another land. He shook his head and smirked..He looked away. - " I hope he dies. " - Point blank he had approved of the man once yes.. However, he didn't like him and didn't like the way he was with Alex.. He knew how people were when they were together, how couples were and he feared for his sister's heart. - " Then he won't hurt her. " - My wasn't that a sore subject..
. N e m e s i s. was a bit surprised by his words, but she did not show any expression to it. She just nodded slightly, understanding how he might have felt and why he felt that way. Nemesis understood Alexandria. The Queen had once confided in her and told her everything that had happened to her. Nemesis was sure of it that she knew more than Orin did about what happened to her while she was separated from him. She considered for a moment, actually telling Orin what she had meant to speak to him about. She sighed quietly and shook her head. "I thought the same thing... But don't you think if he dies it would hurt her just as bad? She lost William to death... and has lost a lot of things in her life that she loved..." She frowned slightly and shrugged her shoulders before letting out another sigh. Her breath showing in the cool air. "I had another vision...I wanted to speak to you about it, but it is not something that should be known by others. I understand the worry you hold for your sister and I wanted to hopefully help relieve some of that worry by telling you what I saw in my vision..." She raised a brow and studied him for a moment. With her luck, if she told him, he'd flip out at her, when it was not even her f a u l t .
Luck was nothing anyone had when it came to Orin. But when it came to talk about love and anything around that subject? He was just as bad as Scrooge on Christmas. - " I'd rather her be hurt by his death than him leaving her behind after he's had his fill of her. All men are the same in that aspect you said it yourself, they all want one thing. " - And her own words would come back to haunt her, turned around and shot right back at her. His voice however, never changed and his tone remained calm. He wasn't going to blow up on her. An almost distant look came over storm riddled hues as he looked to her, it'd be extremely hard to read him then again it always was..It had even gotten to the point Alexandria couldn't much tell many things about him... He was changing that much was apparent but to what who knows.. Right now he was like a dull roar, like the smooth calming wind after a destructive hurricane. Barely angry but barely calm at the same time... A true neutral teetering dangerously.
. N e m e s i s. raised her brow slightly as he spoke his words. Perhaps it was better if she did not tell him of her vision. He did not seem to care much for his sister's happiness it seemed. "Yes, and so I would suppose you are the same? You only want one thing too, right?" Eyebrows furrowed slightly and she shook her head. "I am not defending him. . . But do you really think that if that was all he wanted from her, that he would risk his life and go after her when no one else did?" She shook her head. "Even you... You're still here. Sure you sent out men to go off and do the dirty work, but where are they?" She spoke calmly and did not raise her voice. Her tone did not even hold sarcasm within it. "Okay, so you had to stay behind and watch over the kingdom since she is gone.. But what has been done Orin? You did not even know I had left to find Ulster and bring them here to help. You did not contact them yourself... Do you even care about anything but yourself?" She shook her head and sighed, eyes narrowing at him slightly. "You poor thing... Must have had such a hard life ... Losing your sister because she was taken from you... Now you can't trust anyone else with her. Understandable. Completely. But you throw yourself in this dark depressive thing . . . " She paused for a moment, knowing very well that she was not one to talk about holding the past tightly and staying so dark and depressed over things. She shook her head and continued. "But have you ever thought of how she feels about her past? Have you ever sat down and talked with her about it? Learned about what really happened to her? Or are you too busy drowning yourself in your own sorrow to even notice how she feels and what she lives with and hides every single day of her life?" She shook her head. "She is happy with Thais. He cares about her. I hate love. . . I would not just go around saying silly stupid things like that if I did not believe it to be true. For once, be happy for her." Oh, Nemesis knew what was coming to her. She did not really care, either. Her arms slowly folded over her chest and her eyes focused upon his face, with that ever so famous expressionless face. Orin was about the only person that dished things back at her and did not run away with his tail between hi .l e g s .
A single dark brow would arch just in the slightest though barely noticeable as he canted his head to the side. His gaze locked on hers would not waver nor trail away but remain true, no emotion was upon him just a blank mask.. No he wouldn't run, he didn't run away from his problems never did.. - " I don't want anything why do you think I have no sought anyone out? " - He would cant his head to the side though it was none of her business when it came to his love life but he would defend himself, he wasn't about to stand there and let her be rotten to him for no reason. - " and as for caring about anything besides myself? Matter of factly I do and you damned well know it...I never...EVER said I had a bad nor terrible life. My life was fine, a loving family was all I needed and I got that. I forget about the pain in my life unlike you Nemesis I don't hold things against people, I forgive. " - He still remained calm though shockingly.. He'd still not attack her even though it was oh so tempting to do. - " Love does not exist all it is trade, and nothing you can say will change my mind about that. " - He would shift his weight from one side to the other, his gaze would remain on her still, his features just as emotionless.. - " I have been carrying out the things she gave me to do when she gave me the position of Protectorate. You can not say truthfully I have no spoken to my sister, people can't just come out and say things it takes time. I have not been around here enough before she got kidnapped for her to be comfortable enough to talk to me. I don't force things out of people, you of all should know that. " - He sighed and shook his head as if it were useless to say anything to her. She was a brick wall slowly rotting away in his eyes. She couldn't hurt him with her sarcasm nor anger him by it anymore.. At the sound of Kidda's whimper he looked to the dog offering a faint smile to reassure her everything was fine before looking back to Nemesis.. - " You had something to tell me that I highly dout has anything to do with the conversation. What was it? " -d-
. N e m e s i s. stood still, unwavering and showed absolutely no emotion upon her features. He was an actual challenge sometimes when it came to arguing or debates. She had to at least applaud him for that much. A small grin crept onto her lips and she raised a brow, shaking her head slightly. She honestly cared not about what he thought about her or what he said, and she did not show any sign of feeling upset or hurt or angry by any of his words against her. She knew her own feelings and that was all that really mattered to her. Though it would seem her visions of love mirrored his own. She did not believe in it. Nemesis listened to all of his rambling and simply nodded when he finished. He claimed he had been doing things to help out, but he must have been doing all of it secretly and quietly because she had not heard of much. She wasn't going to argue about it any further. If he said things were being done, she just had to take his word for it, and in the background do her own thing to make sure things got done, whether she had his approval or not, and whether he knew about it or not. He had accused her of not caring about Alexandria or about Avalendor, and though she never would admit to it in public, she did care. It was why she had spent countless nights awake trying to figure out a way to help. Then Orin changed the subject. Wanted to get in the last bashing words, did he? Nemesis would let him have that much, at least. She knew that when she told him of her vision he wouldn't be happy because of what he had just admitted to her. She shook her head and let out a small laugh, glancing away from him for a brief moment before returning her eyes to him. "I saw the Queen and Thais in my vision. Back in Avalendor..." It was all she was going to say for now. But by the look upon her face, it was easy to determine that it wasn't all she saw. But unless he asked, that was all she was going to say. It was enough to at least let him know that Alexandria would be returned to A v a l e n d o r .
Nothing he had said was meant to anger nor hurt her, in fact none of it was meant to have any impact on her. If he wanted to bash her he would of brought up past arguments between them that were never finished because one or the other had gotten to worked up to continue or were interrupted by someone. He shook his head, he was not here to smite her nor was he ever going to he was done with war paths he had nothing against her nor anyone for that matter.. He was just...odd. That seemed to be the only word that did any justice to his whole being. Yes his hardships had shaped him and his personalities but would he use those hard times against people that did nothing to him? No he wouldn't and he wouldn't use them against those whom had either. He was forgiving in that sense for it was no use to hold onto the past when you can not change it only try to make the future better. He hated Thais simply because he was involved with his sister more than friends any brother in their right mind would be. He was naturally protective and why shouldn't he be? His gaze had drifted from Nemsis as he became lost in his thoughts, a common thing for him. However when he heard her voice again that storm riddle gaze was pulled back to her face. He listened to her and would allow silence the fall between them. Only after a few moments his voice could be heard again barely above a whisper as if he didn't want to say it but had forced himself to anyway.. - " I know you Nemesis... That wasn't all of it. " -d-
. N e m e s i s. shook her head and raised a hand to push the strands of dark brown hair away from her face that the wind had pushed into it. "Of course it wasn't all of it. But judging on what you have told me, it is probably all you will want to hear." Her shoulders quickly rose then fell and her arms dropped to her sides. "I would not have even started this conversation with you if that was all it was about. I figured I would try to at least convince. . . you.. to. . ." She paused and seemed to have a hard time at coming up with the right word of what exactly she was trying to get at. She sighed and shook her head. "Listen. . . I know your sister quite well. No, it may not seem as if I know her or am friends with her because I have been distant. But I told you before, your sister saved my life back before when she was searching for Avalendor. I owe her my life. If you cannot understand that, or appreciate that much, then I'm sorry for making you think I am such the horrible person you must think I am..." Her arms returned to fold over her chest and she shook her head. "I am not here to lecture you about your sister and what you should and should not do, or what you should and should not feel. I am sorry if I have come across that way. But I do care about her. And I know she is a woman that has a lot of strength and courage. She has been through a lot. I will even admit that she is a stronger person than I am because despite everything, she still holds her head up and pulls through everything... With a smile upon her face. She rules Avalendor with so much weight upon her shoulders... And I honestly think that for once in her life, she deserves to feel happiness. And that's why I'm here telling you all of this. Because I don't want you screwing it up for her because you do not trust him. He will be damned if he tries anything wrongful with her. I will put a curse upon him and make his life miserable if he does anything to hurt her... Don't get me wrong, I have been and will continue to be watchful of them..." She paused and realized she had just rambled on in her last attempt to get him to remain calm and understand the importance of her vision. Finally, she blurted it out.))(( What was said cannot be viewed by others. ))(( She quickly continued before he could say anything. "Do NOT tell anyone this! If people learn that she will return and everything will be fine... Then people will get lazy and not fight. "
Pale lips curve into a faint almost sadistic smirk though he shook his head and looked away, the smirk fading just as quick as it came.. - " You know nothing about me Nemesis so to judge me on what I say is leading a very wrong path opposite of the truth.. " - That dark brow would arch once more when she spoke about trying to convince him of something then trailed off before saying what. Then it was the train of oncoming words, rambling how she liked to word it as.. He would remain silent the whole time. His arms would rise to cross over his chest in a meaningless fashion, his hands coming to rest tucked within the crook' of his arms. Lecturing? She did nothing but so to say that to him would be like trying to make a balloon sink in water, just wasn't happening. That same smirk would rise once more upon his features and a slow shake of his head then but it would remain this time. His eyes would slightly narrow at the mention, even the idea of the two.. Was she trying to piss him off? Who knows, but it wouldn't happen...No he could control himself now however hard that may be. He still remained silent then even after she had just as quickly blurted out the proposal, told he to basically keep his mouth shut. However after she was done and silence followed closely behind her words he'd let that silence linger for a bit. His mind running rampant with thought it would be a few minutes before that storm riddled gaze would fall on her then and that inner fire could be seen clearly. He was holding it in that much was obvious. His tone remained calm, relaxed...His voice would never rise but remain soft and distant.. He even laughed, though how ironic it was a sarcastic laugh. - " Well then since you think I would screw up her life so much then you can explain when she returns with her....Prince.. " - Oh yes he knew, didn't take much to get someone to eaves drop. - " Why her brother isn't around anymore. " - Brow would rise just slightly then..
. S h e. was not trying to piss him off or anything other than give him some relief that his sister would be coming back safely. "Why say it then. . . If that is not what you mean or what you should be judged by?" Eyebrow rose and she shook her head. She understood a lot of people just by looking at them. But Orin was difficult. He contradicted himself and made it difficult for people to really see what the hell he was talking about or what he truly meant. She remained silent, listening to him and watching him closely. Eyes narrowed when he spoke of her being the one to explain to Alexandria why he had pretty much ditched her, which is what she got out of it. But for all she knew, he could have meant something completely different. She rolled her eyes and let out a laugh. "Oh please. You are so pathetic. You and Brennus, both. Oh how sad... I have to compare you with him!" She laughed sarcastically and moved closer to Orin. She wanted to slap him in the face. He was not understanding what she was trying to get through to him. She stood only inches away from him and her eyes met with his own. She wanted to scream in his face, to shout at him. But her voice remained calm. "Do you honestly think that, that is what she would want? For you to just leave her. . . again?" Eyebrow rose and she shook her head. "She needs you more than you think... And if I'm not mistaken. . . I believe you've promised her, at least three to five times that you were sticking around for her and not leaving her." She stepped away from him then and shook her head.
That same sarcastic laugh would arise and escape once more. He didn't back down he never backed down from her and he wasn't going to start anytime soon.. - " Ah misjudging again, your on a role this evening Nemesis... Who ever said anything about me leave the Isle? It's a big place I'm sure I can stay well out of their way.. " - Yes, note he said 'their' besides she even said it herself he was screwing up his sisters life, and really all he did was care. He was being scolded for caring and not caring. He laughed again and shook his head she could go ahead and shout he could be just as stubborn. He wasn't being hostile just carrying out a lady' request. - " Who said anything about fooling anyone Nemesis. All I said was you do not know me as much as you claim you do. I'm not the same man anymore and I have your advise to thank for it.. So while your still here.. Thank you for helping me see that I'm screwing things up when I care..." - He shook his head it was useless and she wasn't about to get sucked into another fight. He was tired of fighting and if she wanted to fight she could go seek out her little pet Brennus and fight with him. - " Have a great time on the merchant ship.. " - He wasn't mocking her nor lashing out at her. Just a simple fare well bidding of sorts before he turned and just walked away. He didn't storm off nor raise his voice once and he wouldn't...No..not anymore...He was done..
