FULL NAME :: Danielle (Dani) deGrey (previously Leroux, Valérius, and Debienne- she took her family name back after the latest divorce)
BIRTH DATE :: 1st April
AGE :: Thirty-two

WEIGHT :: 95 Ibs
EYE COLOR :: Brown
HAIR COLOR :: Dark brown

CHILDREN :: None, thankfully for all involved (apart from Nana)
TITLES :: Lady deGrey.
OCCUPATION :: Noblewoman, lady of leisure, nuisance, cool aunt, the list goes on really.
MARKINGS :: No tattoos or scars worth noting. Dani is a small, slight woman. But what she lacks in stature she more than makes up for in self-assurance and sass. Her lips are often only a fraction of a second away from a smirk or smartass comment. Dani often wears mens attire for ease of movement- she's not bothered if people talk- after all, she survived growing up in a family of boys, two divorces, and a widowing... at this point Dani is fairly sure she's indestructible in general, so there's no way something as trivial as words are about to hurt her.
LIKES :: Playing pranks on her brothers, travelling, sea breezes, the open ocean, military men with broad shoulders, causing trouble, her brothers (though she will never admit that to either of them), fine wines, cheese, dressing up nice when she has a reason too, and compliments- lots of them.
DISLIKES :: Having pranks played on her, the 'when are you having kids' conversation, slow dances, people calling her short, puzzles, long nights, seeing her first husband, and family gatherings without the full family.
GRAMARYE :: None, at all. Unless getting into mischief is a gift.

PERSONALITY :: A woman to be reckoned with, Dani knows her own mind and will defend herself to the last breath. Growing up in a family of boys, Dani found she had to quickly learn how to hold her own- and she found the easiest way to do so was to not take herself too seriously. Both Dani and Drew got into a lot of trouble as children, and this was something that they never quite grew out of- and Dani is at her happiest when she's causing a little chaos and rubbing people the wrong way (though she likes to think she knows when to quit). This is a woman that prefers to fight with her tongue than with a knife, but she's far from above kicking a man in the balls if she feels he deserves it.
HISTORY :: Dani grew up loved and cared for, never wanting. She had her grandparents, her parents, her brothers, her cousins. The deGreys were a big brood with an incredible woman Theadora deGrey at their head. From a young age, Dani was told she could do anything and be anyone she wanted to. What Dani wanted to do was have fun. And so that's what she did. As children, she and Drew would run rings around Declan and their parents- always getting themselves (and each other) into trouble. She missed her father when he was away, she missed Drew when he went too.
Perhaps that was why she found herself with her first husband, he was a military man like they were. But he had a hunger in his eyes that Dani had never seen in anyone else's eyes before. It was intoxicating. That feeling of being wanted. The feeling of being needed. It made her dizzy. When he left too, spending weeks away at a time, Dani found he left a hole she did not like living with. So she tried to find that feeling again, she needed to be wanted. She found it in the stablehand, in the butler, even in some of her husband's friends- turns out they were terrible at keeping secrets. He found out, and on their six month anniversary filed for divorce. The divorce was agonisingly slow and surprisingly expensive.
She was twenty-two when she married her second husband, six months after her first divorce was finalised. This marriage was not one of love or lust- it was closer to a business deal. Dani got a comfortable life and freedom from her family home (with Drew and her father away, it just seemed too empty, too quiet, and too lonely). Her husband got her company and the warmth of her body in his bed. They were married eighteen months before the poor man's heart gave out. At least he died happy.
Freshly widowed and newly rich, Dani found herself needing a break from the deGreys and Treseria. She has spent her entire life understanding herself through the men she associated with: first with her father and brothers, then through her husbands. Now for the first time in her life she did not need the support of the deGrey name or money or that of her husbands. She was independently wealthy thanks to her second marriage. She began to travel the world, returning home for a few weeks at a time now and then.
It was on one of these visits home that she met her latest husband, her favourite husband. Another military man, of course, she had a type after all. For a few years, life was good, her family loved him, and best of all- the sex was amazing. She eventually grew bored of this married life... Dani wanted to travel again, she missed the creaking of the decks, the tang of salt air in the morning, and even hearing gulls for the first time after weeks at sea. She left him before she could hurt him, at least that's what Dani told herself. They are still good frends- though that did not stop her throwing herself a divorce party (it was fantastic).
Now, Dani travels the world for the fun of it all. Wilfully naïve to the intrigues of politics. She is smart enough to play the game, but she would rather focus on enjoying her life.

FACTS ::
- Never wears black
- She will be late to her own funeral.
- Drinks a lot but rarely seems to actually get drunk.
- Wears heels all the time to bring her up to her brothers’ levels (or at least as close to them as she can get).
- Will hide Drew’s things while he’s away with the military so when he comes back he thinks they have been lost- she has been doing this since long before he joined the military and never told anyone. It brings her a lot of joy.
- Enjoys travelling, preferably without her brothers and cousins. (Triston deGrey is the exception)
- Has this painting hanging above her bed at home.
- Surprisingly good at mimicking other people’s handwriting.
- Does not want children and thanks both the old gods and the new one every single time she gets her monthly gift from mother nature.
- As a child, Dani was desperate to be Nana's favourite- and was more than slightly jealous of her brothers and cousins when they got spend time with her (she's never quite grown out of that jealously).
