APPEARANCE (General info, Height/weight, Eye/Hair color, build, etc.): Thea deGrey is a small woman with sharp blue eyes. Standing at only 5'1 she is an aged pixie of a woman. Don't let her size fool you, she might be tiny, but Nana deGrey is mighty. She has grey white hair that she's recently cut short as it's far easier for her to maintain by herself. Accentuating her sharp features, age has treated her well despite the wrinkles. She manages to stay in good shape with all her traveling. She lights bright colors, mostly greens and blues, though white is her favorite color. "It's Pure." She'll tell you. She wear's black when it's needed. Most of the time she'll wear black when she goes to visit her son Arden's grave. You can hear Nana before you see her, as she walked with stylish cane. PERSONALITY: Short and sweet, and a woman who will rip your heart out through your throat. Thea deGrey is a lady with class. A mother and grandmother of mostly boys, she is firm as any mountain, and has withered many a storm. Born a noble woman, she was raised to be a perfect daughter, and perfect she shall be. However, Nana's perfect, and your perfect are completely different. She can be as sweet as sugar and as thorny as a rose in 0.3 seconds. Putting the definition in passive-aggressive. Thea deGrey is a confident woman who knows exactly what she wants and how to get it. As stubborn as a mule, many of her grandchildren have inherited their strong wills and stubborn hearts from her. A force to be reconnected with, she isn't afraid to put anyone in their place and remind them of said place with a sweet smile and quip. She loses no sleep over anyone's feeling she hurts. She will tell you exactly how it is, and is rather blunt about it. Nana does not sugar coat things. If she doesn't like something, she'll tell you.
In her old age, Nana has developed no filter. Most often then not she'll tell you how she feels about something right then and their to your face. Never mind who might be around. Despite this, she still recognizes that she is in fact a lady, and does her best to keep herself in check. (mostly around her great granddaughters) Thea got the reputation for being a bitch in her younger years, and she never quite lost the name. Not many like her abrasive personality or the fact she simply does not care. What she cares about, especially now in her old age, is being happy. She urges and encourages her children and grandchildren, and even her great grandchildren to find what make them happy and to seize it with all their being. She's very supportive of their endeavors, but will also give you Nana words of wisdom whether you want to hear them or not.
Nana has a bit of a Neapolitan complex, and will legitimately (her cane also has a hidden blade in it) fight someone if you've angered or pushed her enough. She's fiercely protective of any deGrey, and will do her duty to ensure their safety and happiness. Despite her prickliness, Thea has large caring heart, and often times will go out of her way to help someone truly in need. You don't even have to ask, if she see's you need help, she's helping you whether you like it or not. She loves her family immensely and wishes to see it grow even more. She particularly wishes her grandchildren would all get over themselves, (Save for William and Declan) and marry so they can give her more great grandchildren.

HISTORY:
Theadora was born To Clarice and Buford Donadieu. She was the oldest daughter of their nine children. 2 of which were unfortunately lost in a house fire the family experienced, and 2 others died as infants. They were a family of wealthy nobles, owning land in Tresteria. Thea was raised to be prim, perfect and proper. Only...She wasn't. She was stubborn, and had a will of her own. A care freeness about her. A rebel streak that needed to be satisfied, and thirst for travel. She was never able to reach that however, as she found herself in an arranged marriage to Marius deGrey. What started out as a rocky relationship and a power struggle (as they both liked control) led a to a passionate understanding, and ultimately a love worthy for the history books. They were blessed with two sons, though they tried for more.
Thea devoted life to raising her sons to be nothing but kind and caring, and to treat others with respect (when they deserved it) and to reach for their dreams. Putting it into their heads that anything was achievable. Her oldest son Fredrick joined the military, and her youngest son, Arden went off to chase his dreams. Both eventually falling in love and starting their own families. Marius passed nearly 20 years ago do to a heart attack. Having been struggling with is health problems for several years, he eventually passed. Thea had been distraught, putting on a brave face for her family, but everyone could see the light had faded from her eyes a bit. Dimming at the loss of her husband who she had loved so much.
Tragedy would strike again, when ten years ago she lost her baby Arden. Swallowed up by the sea, doing what he loved. It nearly destroyed her, as no parent should out live their child. She had her family to lean on however, and they needed her as well. She lent them her strength. About a year after Arden's death, Thea decided to do what she always wanted to do, which was travel. She's spent the last nine years doing that exact thing. Always making sure she returns home by the begging of summer to throw her summer party and to catch up on everything she's missed in being away, and seeing how nosy she can be with her grandchildren. With her youngest great grandchild being seven, she's itching for more great grand babies, and plans on staying home in Tresteria for the next bit to show her daughter-in-laws how match making is really done.
