Pandora was on her walk from getting lunch, a basket on her arm with her assortment of goodies to munch on through the day- a few sweets and meat pies, a few slices of cake and of course a small bottle of wine to enjoy. As she walked past the book shop though, the sound of metal against wood caught her ears enough to make her stop and then look and as it would have it, curiosity won over her and so she would walk closer. Pandora would swing the basket some so that it was behind her with both hands holding it there as she stepped closer and leaned some, "What are you making there?" she asked suddenly. Now, maybe she should have cleared her throat or something but it never occurred to her to do so, she was jut curious and when that happened she rarely thought to mind herself at times. Oh her father would scold her for such but he was at home and she was here so he could kiss a shoe. Finnian Carver

You would think, given the incident the other day that Finn would be more aware of his surroundings. Pay more attention to what was going on around him so to speak. He at least tried at first, but the busyness of the street, and not giving his full attention to the carving was difficult. He was not one that could multitask, with his Gramarye at least. He took in everything. Observed everything around him, and there was no off switch unless he was given a task to focus his attention on. Busy streets, markets, full taverns, crowds, any large cluster of people was the worst. It was a sensory overload to an extreme that usually brought on panic attacks, and when Finn panicked he got punchy. Or stabby. Depended on what he had in his hand.
He'd tried to pay attention to what he was doing, but also be aware to what was around him. There wasn't much luck in the action, as his hands worked his attention and focus went to the carving. The buzzing sensation that accompanied him everywhere just faded away as he focused on the fox he was currently working on. It was still in the chunky pieces. He hadn't been at it long yet to really get the detail in. He was in his usual spot outside Lucifer's Pleasures. On his bench that Hayden had said countless times needed to be renamed "Finn's spot" as he waited for Ethan to get done with work.
Lost in what he was doing he didn't hear the woman approach, or notice her stand there. He was in Finn's world, and wouldn't be coming out of it until someone brought him out, or he decided enough was enough for the carving that day.
"Pssst! Pandora!" Pan would hear Hayden's voice as she leaned outside her shop. "Wave your hand in front of what he's doing so you block his view of what he's working on. He can't hear you right now. Finn's too focused." Amusement was in her tone, but it was obvious she knew Finn enough to bring him out of whatever he was working on. The safe way. "Just...don't touch him. He uh....Get's startled easily." Came her nervous laugh. Finn sat there the entire time, continuing to whittle away, unaware of the conversation happening right next to him.

Pandora waited and waited but then a voice popped up and she turned to look and listen, a little O forming on her mouth as she nodded and gave a smile, "Thanks," she called out before she did as she was told to- well she actually first just waved in front of him and not in the line of sight of his work yet as to even her that was rude but if that did nothing she went to plan B.
Plan B was she did as previously suggested and slipped her hand a little bit between the view of his work and his eyes to maybe get his attention for a moment; if she was able to that is, it was hard to say with someone as focused as him but her last resort would be- against Haydens' warning, would be to gently touch his shoulder to see if that worked- though she would refrain if he responded to any of her previous attempts to speak to him.

Plan B was the way to go with Finn, as he was busy whittling away. His vision had to be nearly completely obscured of what he was working on to get his attention. When he saw the little hand he thought it was a child at first that wanted his attention given the size of the hand, but as his piercing blues flickered up and he raised his head he found a woman.
A woman that was child sized he noted.
He didn't say anything, merely arched an eyebrow in silent question at her as he waited for her to say what she wanted. Why else would she want his attention unless she wanted something? Surely she wouldn't want to talk to him to just talk right? What was with girls and talking to him lately?

Pandora would look at him and give a sweet smile once he noticed her trying to get his attention but he didn't speak. She didn't mind that he didn't talk right away, "Hi there what are you carving?" she asked him curiously.
Her tone was sweet and kind, full of curiosity as she sat next to him and tried to figure out what he was making and doing. She was oblivious that he might be thinking she wanted something, she was just curious over what he was up to and doing right now because she was not that gifted in the artsy department.

Finn watched the small woman with those intense blue eyes of his. They didn't miss anything, and he knew sometimes he could come off as really intense. His last run-in with a girl had been similar. He noted the shape of her face, the blue-green of her eyes, even the way her hair parted, and the direction it grew.
What are you carving?
He glanced down at the piece of wood in his hand and blinked for a second. "Fox." He said before he glanced back up at her. he set the carving blade next to him, remembering the last time he'd nearly stabbed what's her name from how she'd startled him. He could tell she was probably curious and so he held the block of wood out to her. It wasn't anything special yet, he was getting the basics of the shape down before he got more detailed with it. "It's not done yet." He said.
Finn was usually quiet. A man of a few words unless you really got to know him. He had expected him and his brother to have moved on my now, but it didn't appear to be the case as of late. He'd come to this bench everyday like clockwork unless he managed to find some work. This little woman had probably walked passed him countless times, or seen him sitting outside numerous times before. Finn eyed her slowly up and down. She didn't look too scary...But Finn could also handle himself. At least in a fight. Socially? Well...here went nothing...

Pandora was quiet for once, normally chatty and gabby but sometimes and on those rare times, she could be quiet and patient and wait. This was one of those times at the gentleman took her in for a moment.
When he said fox and then held it out to her, she would place her basket down to the ground and then gently pick it up from his fingers. She would run her fingers along the still rough wood but the shape was starting to come through, "But I can see the shape coming through of it how long have you been carving?" she inquired curiously as she handed it back to him gently.
It was probably the case that she walked past him often but she also was mostly in her shop working her backside off. Pandora was determined to keep her shop in good graces and well known and the fact that it was just herself running it made it almost a twenty-hour a day thing for her. She debated hiring help but she feared what would happen if she did, best if it was just herself honestly.
