"I think-" Kit began, his voice dropping lower as his head dipped down. Still holding onto her wrists, though gently enough that Naomi would be able to wiggle free without much trouble should she try, Kit pressed his lips against her skin- tracing a line of light kisses from her collarbone, up her neck, and along her jawline. Between each kiss, he spoke: "I- might- be- able- to- do-"
Then his lips found hers, gently at first, as though there was still the lingering worry that Naomi was still upset with him- still mad that he had left- but then that trepidation lifted and (if she didn't push him away) Kit brought his free hand down to cradle her head, kissing her just as he had before whim had taken him across the sea.
After a moment, he broke the kiss, brown eyes finding hers as that easy grin came unbidden to his lips. "That." Kit finished, planting a final kiss on the very tip of her nose.

Naomi squirmed under the feather-light kisses, breathless and laughing until their lips met and she melted. Everything about this felt like coming home, warming her from the inside out. Curse this stupid, perfect boy. She'd never be able to give this up.
When he broke away to kiss the tip of her nose, she couldn't help smiling at him. She was sure her heart was in her eyes, despite all her determination to hide it away and armor it against such foolish things. She was weak, and foolish, and stupid, and handing away her battered heart to be broken again...but at the moment, she was happy to do it.
"Welcome home, Kit," she murmured.
[Fade out?]
