APPEARANCE: A dark haired and medium skinned woman of average height and figure, Naomi's basic statistics don't make her seem worthy of notice. She dresses to accentuate her figure, however, and wears just a hint of makeup to highlight her cheekbones and full lips, and she's always careful to keep her hair perfectly curled and tamed. 

The only time she lets these things slip is when she's trying to escape notice. With simple clothing and her hair pulled into a modest bun, she can blend away into a crowd with no trouble at all.

PERSONALITY: Naomi is a woman of dual personalities. Around her brother she is quick witted but well behaved, the model of what a young woman of her age should be. She is on time to work, always modest and polite, and follows her brother's guidance to a T. She still gives him a bit of hassle, to make it believable, but she ultimately does as he asks. 

When her brother is away sailing, and she is outside her parents' home, she is an entirely different woman. Vibrant and cheeky, she loves being the center of attention and craves the company of other bright and interesting people. She prides herself on being able to make everyone like her, even if they go in determined not to. 

Her core personality can be witnessed beneath the others: a young woman who is eager for praise, company, and affection. She has a good sense of humor and does her best not to take insult's personally: instead she sees them as a challenge to overcome and prove the other person wrong.

REPUTATION: In public Naomi is known as the daughter of a fisherman, and assistant to the local seamstress. She takes repair work home with her and brings it back completed. She is known to be a bit of a flirt, although she never does anything about it. 

HISTORY:
Naomi's life was simple when she was a child, almost unusually so. Her father is a fisherman, and so he fished. Once Naomi's older brother, Marcel, was old enough, he went along. Naomi stayed with her mother, learning to cook, clean, and sew. Her mother does mending for the nearby merchants to earn extra money, and Naomi quickly showed a talent for helping. She began running errands for her mother, returning the mending when it was done and agreeing to take on small tasks of her own--delivering notes, fetching things, etc.

It was during this that she first encountered the rogue court. Lured in by promises of making extra money for her family, she soon showed a knack for the things they wanted from her just as she had with sewing--nimble fingers and a quick wit lent themselves well to each. She found that she loved having a place where she was just herself, and people were not constantly comparing her to her mother or brother. She was able to say and do mostly what she liked there, and developed a separate identity inside the court. (Note: many people on the court know her as Mimi, as she got that nickname when she was younger.)

When her brother joined the trading company crew for better wages and began leaving more often, Naomi began to spend more and more time out of the house doing work for the rogue court. She often spends nights away and tells her parents she is just working odd jobs as an additional maid or server for the nobles and merchants of the area. Those who are involved with the court will sometimes cover for her if her parents are nosing around.
