Devinia would continue to play with the necklace, a habit of hers that helped to keep her calm and relaxed in new situations. This wasn't a bad one just new after she had already embarrassed herself a little bit but thankfully the gentleman didn't hold it against her as much as her mind was right now.

Now she blushed in return, "Oh! Well...one I had read a fair amount about was Aldsage. I rather love how their clans are represented by various animals like the dragon, wolf, horse, raven, lion, falcon, stag, and bear. They all have so many different customs and traditions on one island and not much overlaps- though not a lot is known about them because they tend to kill visitors," she told him with a smile before blushing some at her sudden ramble. She had studied that much for each country but that one had her curiosity in so many ways that she wanted to see them up close and maybe meet them.

"I did also study in depth about Teronna, Terestria, Arcisea, Ithias, and then Noistar. I'm still reading more on the last two to learn them a little better and their customs as well and traditions. It easier to learn about them than Aldsage honestly," she told him with a laugh as she seemed to relax more talking about topics she knew of and had read on.

Devinia had nothing but time on her hands in school, no real distractions and being safely tucked away just let her be able to read and study. She loved learning any languages that were around and dead ones but she felt that would be odd to include as well.

He blinked and then smiled faintly at the sudden cultural lesson. He too had had a lot of schooling. He was aware of the bits and pieces on Aldsage and various clans amd their less than friendly demeanor with outsiders. He supposed she was just excited to share. Devinia seemed...a bit special. He supposed he could allow her some leeway. He didn't doubt she knew mpre about culture than he did. But she didn't seem to have excelled in social skills. It was almost cute.

Pearce realized she still didn't seem to understand his question but that was alright. She seemed much more comfortable at least. He tried to asked differently. "S-surely you have visited other countries? And not just read about them? When you...left Aralore b-before, where did you visit?"

Anyone could read books. But he had wanted her feelings about being in a country. Reading their books and talking to their people and breathing their air. Perhaps she hadn't gotten that far yet? He hoped she did, for her sake. She seemed quite excited just thinking about it.

"I v-visited Tresteria for a while, doing my own schooling," he said for an example. "It's a massive island. Very st-structured. The n-n-nobility are friendly but not very open. The commonfolk are open but not often friendly to nobles. Tea is quite the...rage over there," he said with a chuckle.
