So the poor chief of Clan Vellcar is looking a little bit worse for wear recently, rumour has it he isn't long for this world- which means there may soon be a new clan chief.
But who will it be?
I've kept the details brief so the player has a lot of free reign to develop them and take them in whichever direction they would like. Clan Vellcar values family before or else, so they're all relatively close. However there is a rumour that one amongst these may be poisoning the chief...
Will it be his eldest son? Moire's father?
CHARACTER NAME: (optional first name) Vellcar
AGE: 50ish
APPEARANCE: Like most of the Vellcar men (and some of the women), he stands tall and strong. His arms are muscular from years of working on fishing boats and training in combat.
PERSONALITY: Self assured and confident, he commands the attention of any room he enters without even trying. He is warmest around his immediate family. For him, family comes before the clan as a whole.
Or possibly the second son?
CHARACTER NAME: (optional first name) Vellcar
AGE: Mid-to-late 40s
APPEARANCE: Though not quite as brawny as his elder brother, this man still looks to be a capable warrior who favours strength over speed.
PERSONALITY: Like his father and brother, this Vellcar is confident in himself and his abilities. Of the Vellcar family, he was the closest to the late chieftess and she taught him the art of healing. Since the chieftess's passing, he effectively serves as the clan's doctor. His wife is currently pregnant with their third child.
Will tradition be broken and the chief's daughter succeed him?
CHARACTER NAME: (optional first name) Vellcar
AGE: Late 30s/early 40s
APPEARANCE: Red haired but strong in build, this Vellcar always felt as though she had to prove herself capable in comparison to her older brothers.
PERSONALITY: She is fearless, and of the chief's three children it is this Vellcar who is the most feared warrior. Strength, skill, and speed blend to create a truly terrifying wild warrior. When she speaks, everyone listens. As with all Vellcars, she is family orientated and very proud of her children. She recently gave birth to her third child, a girl, and is already back in the fishing boats and on the training ground.
Or is it time for young blood? Moire's eldest brother perhaps?

AGE: Late 20s
APPEARANCE: The spitting image of his father, tall and strong in build.
PERSONALITY: He clearly idolises his father- whether consciously or not, this Vellcar seems to have assumed the self-assured air that his father carries. He considers the other clans of Aldsage to be a very real threat, and treats outsiders with extreme caution at best or outright aggression at worst.
A calmer chief maybe? Moire's other brother?
CHARACTER NAME: (optional first name) Vellcar
AGE: Mid-to-late 20s
APPEARANCE: Like Moire, this Vellcar is more slight with a swimmer's body.
PERSONALITY: Introspective, like Moire he will think before he speaks. It has made him a calming influence at Vellcar clan meetings. Like his father and brother, he can command the attention of a room without trying- and when he speaks, most people stop to listen.
Another grandson... Moire's eldest cousin.
CHARACTER NAME: (optional first name) Vellcar
AGE: Mid 20s
APPEARANCE: Fair of hair and lean, this Vellcar may not have the strength of his cousins or uncle but he is still a skilled warrior.
PERSONALITY: Unlike most that bear the Vellcar name, this cousin doesn't just want to see Aldsage, but see the world. He frequently disappears for weeks on end... returning later with a pack stuffed full of game and pelts. Moire and the younger cousins listen to his tales with a mixture of wonder and fear- perhaps he could be the chief to establish Clan Vellcar on a global scale.
Or his younger brother?

APPEARANCE: He and Moire could be twins to the casual observer. Small and slight in build with flame red hair.
PERSONALITY: As confident as any other Vellcar, despite being the smallest of the Vellcar boys. Patient and understanding. The most spiritual of the Vellcar brood, he is a collector of stories and often entertains the clan with stories of the clan's histories and myths. No-one in the clan knows the traditions and stories of the Vellcar as well as he.
The unlikely options... but who knows?
The chief's daughter (Moire's aunt) has two sons aged 15 and 13(ish)... and of course there's the newborn baby girl.
