You are the one who made the d e c i s i o n
stuck in a PRISON, shattered and broken
I am the one who, expected to h e a l you,
save you from DROWNING in your endless n i g h t m a r e
Blessed be, the disillusioned
The b a n i s h e d misfit and the CURSED hollow son.

ABOUT JACOB ::
- Jacob was the only born child to Elliot and Anne Walsh. He grew up in Tresteria where his father was a merchant sailor and his mother was a nurse and a midwife. He loved his father and spending time with him. Growing up, he often followed him around everywhere and would play on the ship, learning everything there was to know about sailing. Elliot often thought his son would follow in his footsteps with becoming a sailor because Jacob had been so quick to pick up on things and knew how to sail better than half the men on Elliot’s ship by the time he was ten.
- As Jacob grew older, his father was around less and less, often out on the sea, leaving him and his mother alone for months at a time. Each time he left, his mother would fall into a deep depression for weeks, often suffering with severe anxiety and worry that her husband would not come home this time. It always broke Jacob’s heart to see her like this, and he eventually began to resent his father for leaving so often without seemingly caring what it did to their family. It seemed that Elliot loved the sea more than he did his own wife and son.
- He eventually took an interest in his mother’s work, often helping her and volunteering around the infirmary. He had helped nurse a baby boy back to health once and it convinced him of his path he wished to take in life.
- Jacob studied hard and volunteered as much as possible in the infirmary. Eventually, he was able to work under a doctor and learned the occupation very well, becoming a doctor himself years later.
- His knowledge of health would not save his mother, however, as she had caught a deadly infection from a patient in the infirmary and quickly fell ill. There was no stopping the illness no matter how hard he and the other doctors tried. Jacob sent word to his father, telling him he needed to come home. However, Anne died before he even heard back from him. This only angered him further, and he sent word again to tell him that she had passed and not to bother coming home.
- Elliot did return home, however, and they had gotten into a heated argument about his life and always being out to sea--how he had failed his wife and son and that he didn’t wish to see him again since he’d much rather be out on the sea than with his family. Jacob also grew to feel that Elliot had better relationships and loved his surrogate children he took under his wing, more so than his own son.
- A month before his mother’s death, he had met Natalia when her brother had taken ill and he helped him. Natalia was a veterinarian for the horses at the stables. They instantly became good friends and then fell in love. Natalia had been the only one there for him and she had helped him through the grief of his mother and feeling as if he had also lost his father.
- Years later, after Jacob had finally earned his title as a doctor, the two became engaged.
Jacob vowed to never live the sailor life as he had seen what it had done to his mother, and he did not wish for his future wife to suffer the same way. - A month before Jacob and Natalia would marry, his fiancee had gotten into a horrible accident while working. One of the more skittish horses that she was trying to help had been spooked by something and quickly lost control of itself, trapping her in the stall where she eventually was kicked in the head by the horse and slightly trampled.
- Natalia did not die instantly, and Jacob had found out about her accident when she arrived in the infirmary. He and another doctor worked tirelessly trying to help her, but her brain had been badly damaged and she had slipped into a coma. A week had gone by in her coma state, and Jacob had stayed by her bedside the entire time until her struggle came to an end and he watched her take her last breath.
- Devastated, Jacob felt he had nothing left in his life. His family and future wife were gone, he had nothing but his work keeping him going and he threw himself into it to stay busy and keep his mind off of his life. However, he even felt he was a failure at his work since he had not been able to save Natalia. At night, he turned to the bottle and got horribly drunk until he passed out. This had become his life.
