FACTS ::

• Talia was born into the Kotori Clan generations after the Fionain was split into two- the other half forming their forgotten clan of "ghosts". All her life, she had known nothing but the darkness and safety of the caves, raised and forged in the ways of stealth and combat, to be one with the shadows of the island. The number one rule of the Kotori was this: never be seen.
• Despite her upbringing, her curiosity got the best of her, and she wished to be made an infiltrator. Talia excelled, and at a surprisingly young age she was sent into Wynfrid territory to run recon and gather whatever secrets she could. This was supposed to only last a couple months to a year at most, but she wound up staying for far long, acting as one of the wolves.
• Perhaps she had forgotten herself and her true intentions- giving reason after reason to her people as to why she couldn't leave- because during that first year she had caught the eye of Malcolm Harper and completely lost herself. It was wrong, it was forbidden, it wasn't why she was there. Every ounce of training seemed to disappear whenever he looked at her, every logical reason to leave and go home had vanished at his touch. She dared to be happy and dared to silently defy her true purpose.
• Things began to go downhill the day she found out she was pregnant. No matter what she did or tried to say, Malcolm was adamant on marrying her...and how could she say no? Her blood-brother, Nero, argued with her to get out, that it was too risky now, but when Talia refused, he hid her pregnancy from the Kotori.
• Aidan was born nine months later, and all she wanted to do was be a mother. It was a risk to even act as a wife, let alone openly nurse a child when there could be another Kotori inside the Wynfrid Clan. Talia had gotten in too deep at that point and she couldn't be sure- but there was always two infiltrators to each clan. Still, she fought to remain, torn between two worlds, struggling to stay afloat.
• Another four years, and Talia gave birth to a second boy. Cohen was as perfect and beautiful as his brother, and Talia died a little bit inside every time she realized how limited her time was. She knew she couldn't remain any longer. The Kotori were asking questions, and Nero was frantically worried about her well-being.
• Knowing she had no choice lest the Kotori find out about the family she shouldn't have had, she fled from the Wynfrids a year later. She made it sound like she didn't wish to be a mother, that she had never loved Malcolm...she left a letter that said anything and everything she could imagine in order to get him to believe she was this horrible bitch of a woman. Anything to keep him away, to him and the boys safe.
• Malcolm pursued regardless when Cohen was found in the woods alone. Talia and Nero had to create an elaborate ruse that nearly destroyed her, nearly got her blood-brother killed before they fled; her heart crumbling to pieces and falling to her feet. She was never the same again and refused to infiltrate another clan.
• Talia spends her days simply hunting, keeping herself busy. She wishes she could forget her children, the man she cannot stop loving, because it's a constant ache in her heart she can't get rid of.
