ABOUT AVALYNN ::

• Avalynn had a very happy and normal childhood, growing up with a noble family who taught her to work for everything she got in life, and to never expect things to be handed to her for nothing.  Her father had worked hard for what they had and moved up in the ranks of the Tresterian military, which had earned him titles and land.  
• She was an only child until she was eight years old when her younger brother, Nicholas was born.  She instantly fell in love with him and often helped her parents care for him as much as possible. 
• Avalynn had been extremely close with her father.  He treated her with nothing but kindness, love and respect, which shaped what she looked for in men and relationships.  He taught her a great many things and for years, read her stories before bedtime--something she had cherished with all of her being.  Her father traveled a lot and when he returned, he would bring her a new storybook that they would spend days reading together. 
• When she was thirteen years old, her father unfortunately passed away suddenly and in his sleep.  No one had expected it, so his death came to quite a shock for Avalynn's family.  She was devastated and would soon find that her life would be quick to change quite drastically.  
• Her mother became horribly depressed and isolated herself from everyone, including Avalynn and her brother.  She stopped talking, became a shell of a person.  It was clear that her mother was suffering from a completely broken heart and did not seem to know how to go on without her husband.  
• Avalynn's childhood was seemingly over, as she had to take care of both her mother and her younger brother, then.  She often had to push aside her own feelings and emotions to cheer up her family and to keep them together.  It kills her to see her mother like she is, and to have to care for her younger brother the way her mother should have been.  But she adapted quickly and constantly tried to brighten everyone's moods around her so not to focus on the dark depression that filled their home.
• Her family had been allowed to move into the palace shortly after her father's death and her mother's inability to function in society.  Avalynn became a lady in court as soon as she was allowed to be, and eventually found her way to becoming Queen Eleesa's lady.
• She often carries herself as a happy-go-lucky, cheerful lady who brightens any room that she enters.  She has a carefree attitude and loves to make others smile.  She often puts others before herself and rarely talks about her personal life.
• She is extremely clumsy, but will laugh at herself because of it.
• She is afraid to fall in love or get involved in a relationship, because she is afraid it would pull her from her family and there would be no one left to care for her mother or brother.
