CHARACTER NAME: Malcolm Harper
AGE: 35
CURRENT RESIDENCE (Which land in Elysium will they live?): Aldsage - Wynfrid Clan
APPEARANCE (General info, Height/weight, Eye/Hair color, build, etc.):
Malcolm has a muscular build. He’s of average height, standing at 5’11, with black short hair. His skin is tan, showing he spends a lot of time in the sun. He has dark, almost black eyes, and he has a scar on his left cheek that looks like a nick, as well as another across the bridge of his nose. He has a very deep almost hoarse voice and ruggedness about him.
His hands are calloused from his work, and he can usually be seen wearing leather armor or his furs. Most of the time he’s found with a bow strapped to his back, a whip at his hip, and several large hunting knives all hidden somewhere on his body.
Malcolm usually walks with a very purposeful gait, as if he’s a man with some place to be. There’s usually a permanent scowl on his face or it’s blank. When he does smile it’s usually a lopsided grin. He does like spending time with his friends, but mostly it’s whenever he’s with his family that the smile is seen the most.

PERSONALITY: Malcolm is rather opinionated and with no fucks to give. The only thing he cares about is his family and his clan. He’s a bit harsh, oftentimes telling you the truth that you don’t want to hear. He doesn’t sugar coat things, and would rather just accept things the way they are and move on, and not have to worry about the past. (He says this but is a giant hypocrite)
A very prideful man, he is a very involved father who wants the best for his sons and tries to be as honest with them as he can. A lot of people don’t agree with his parenting methods, but he’s raising his boys how he thinks they should be raised, which is into little men. He’s very blunt, and a lot of people call him an asshole, but he’s the type of man to give you the shirt off his back if needed. He has his own moral code and gives off a very intense presence. He’s also comes across as being plain angry and mean.
Malcolm doesn’t let people in easily after what happened to his wife, and he refuses to talk about her. It’s too painful of a subject that brings up nothing but regret and resentment, and he’d rather not deal with it if he can. He has a bad habit of bottling up his emotions until they just boil over.
Despite his rather prickly exterior, he’s pretty easy to get along with if you know what you're doing and are respectful. He’s willing to work with someone if they want to work together and is willing to hear ideas, but he doesn’t like getting yanked around or fucked with. He appreciates open honesty and will respect you more over someone not being honest at all. He doesn’t handle liars well, so don’t lie to him.
HISTORY:
Malcolm had a relatively normal upbringing. His parents were hunters and good trackers, so naturally he followed in their footsteps. When they died, he was 22, and took up the duty of helping take care of his sisters. Making sure they had what they needed, and being their protector.
When he set his eyes on Talia, it had been love at first sight. Loving the woman with his body and soul, he didn’t think there was anyone who compared. She was his light in an otherwise empty and dark world despite how much he tried to provide for his sisters and how much he loved them. The two courted for several years, and it wasn’t until Talia actually fell pregnant that Malcolm married her. When his first son was born, he’d bawled like a baby. The happiest he’d ever been. He’d failed to notice that Talia wasn’t so thrilled at the development…
Malcolm’s sisters were a great help with Aidan, and Malcolm thought nothing could go wrong. He was a happy man, and as Aidan grew, Malcolm wanted to expand the family more. Talia wasn’t so thrilled with the idea, liking their family the size it was however. However they didn’t plan on having Cohen, but Cohen came anyways four years after Aidan. Malcolm didn’t expect what happened a year later. He’s still foggy on the memories, but ultimately...Talia left him. For another man. They didn’t find much, they originally thought she’d been kidnapped. Leaving Cohen who could just barely walk alone in the woods. When another clansmen had found Malcolm’s infant son, he’d thought the worst. Giving the baby to his sister to look after, Malcolm took of to find what happened to his wife.
He was gone for days, but he eventually found her in the arms of another in another clans territory no less. At least it wasn’t a Drach… Still, it didn’t end well. Malcolm was in shock mostly. How could she do this? Was he not a good husband? Did he not love her enough? The betrayal and rage hit, and there was nothing to stop him save for the clansmen that literally pried him off of Talia’s lover. They’d left then, before Malcolm had a chance to really get his hands on her. They’d hopped on a ship, and sailed away, while Malcolm went home licking his wounds.
He later found a letter she’d left. Saying she never wanted to be a mother, and that she’d never loved Malcolm. What hurt the most was she didn’t even think Cohen was actually his son. The news nearly destroyed him, and when people asked, he’d told them she’d committed suicide. That she’d thrown herself into the sea, and the only thing he had left was her letter. Only those closest knew the real truth.
In the years that followed, Malcolm did his best to move on, but he’s bitter and angry, and resentful. He does his best to hide it, and focuses on being the best father he can be to his boys, and relying on his sisters to help raise them.
