ABOUT ELYSCIA ::
- Third and youngest born and the second daughter to Roiben and Aileena Demarais.
- With her being female, also having another sister, and then an older brother who wanted to do anything but abide by the Demarais standards, the three siblings were often considered the "black sheep" of the family. Something their mother flaunted regardless, because Aileena had a "devil-may-care" attitude, which her sister Cassie wound up inheriting fully and Ely some.
- With Sevrin banished and their father deceased, Edward took control over their family. He married her sister off to a very old duke, which she often felt sorry for. Though, it seemed Cassie eventually grew to care for the man. Edward had also arranged her marriage, but their wedding was put on hold when her fiancee had to leave Tresteria to return home to his family when his brother died. She is unsure if he will be returning or not and is secretly hoping he doesn't.
- Edward seemed to enjoy being a matchmaker, and when he set up his brother, Aric, with the queen of Aralore, he sent Cassandra and her husband away to spy to make sure that things went according to his plan.
- She was left alone in Tresteria then. With both parents dead, her brother off somewhere, and her sister in Aralore, she felt very outnumbered by the rest of the Demarais line. She felt very isolated and lonely, but enjoyed spending time with her cousin's daughter, Olivia deGrey , and her queen, Eleesa Demarais .
- She often dreams of escaping Tresteria to pursue her own life and find her own adventures, without being told what to do. But also fears the uncertainty of it all. Everything she has ever known is in Tresteria and that's what holds her back.
- When news hit Tresteria that King Edward has died, it made her extremely nervous to find out what was next for the kingdom. Though, when she heard her sister would be returning home, she became beyond excited to see her again.
