- The only child of Wyatt and Eleanor Arnaud, Eleesa was pampered and spoiled from day one, however, had fortunately not developed the "only child syndrome". She learned to appreciate what she was given. Her mother made sure of that.
- Her childhood was normal and full of love, albeit a little lonely. When she was old enough to attend Tresterian court, her life began to change almost drastically.
- It was there that she caught sight of Triston deGrey , nephew of the late King James. As a young, impressionable woman, she couldn't help but be enamored almost immediately. Till this day, she still doesn't know if the emotions were one-sided, but she always felt that she could have been happy with him. Eleesa had started to develop feelings for him, and even thought that he might ask her father for her hand.
- Turned out, that the king himself arranged for her to marry his eldest son, Edward, instead. Devastated at first, Eleesa eventually grew to care for her new husband. He was handsome, charming, and seemed to genuinely care for her. All of which only seemed to last a year. Once she had given him an heir, his affections drifted elsewhere...leaving her alone and only available when Edward deemed it necessary.
- Although he had only struck her once, causing a scar above her lip, he was never physically abusive towards her again. Only verbally, which at times, Eleesa thought was a lot worse. Edward paraded his mistresses around, but were she to take a lover, it would have meant her life.
- When her husband became king, she was simply queen by name. Even if she couldn't really do anything as a monarch, she still tried to help aid the people wherever it was possible.
- She was married to Edward for almost a decade and gave birth to two sons: Edward II and Thomas. They are her sole reasons for living and perhaps why she never followed her dark thoughts into taking her own life.
- Was devastated when her brother-in-law's wife, Maria, passed away. She was close to the woman and considered her to be her very first best friend.
- When Aric was betrothed to the queen of Aralore by demand of Edward to solidify an alliance, Eleesa accompanied her husband to the devastated island where she immediately felt pity for them. They needed aid and Edward, as was natural for him, demanded far more than he deserved. This led to many conflicts, including her husband's complete spiral into madness. She had realized he wasn't himself, more than usual, for awhile before then and couldn't explain why...but when he actually tried to rape Alexandria on her wedding night to Aric, Eleesa knew he was lost. He was no longer the man she once knew, and she was fearful of it.
- The day after Edward's arrest for his horrible and treacherous attack, he was found dead in his cell. She was told it was slow poisoning caused by the Tresterian High Chancellor, Simon Renaud. Eleesa felt guilty for feeling even a little bit relieved, although she knew this was just going to cause a whole slew of new problems. Her eldest son was next in line but was not yet old enough to rule on his own...and she knew the Tresterian Council would most likely not allow her to rule as regent in the meantime.
- Afraid of the future, Eleesa placed her sons onto a ship, along with Aric, Cassandra as well as Alexandria, and headed for home to deal with Edward's funeral...and the inevitable stress that was to come.
- Although Eleesa is considered quiet and shy, she isn't once someone gets to know her. She was never really allowed to share this true side of her because of Edward.
- She is actually very intelligent but was forced to hide behind her quiet facade all this time. Eleesa believes she is capable of being regent, but knows the council will not agree.
- She is terrified of a stranger becoming regent and corrupting her son, Edward...and she might be powerless to stop it.
