- Autumn -
Autumn brushes her hair slowly Letting her glory flow gently to the earth below. Showing off vibrant colors in contrast to summer's green dress. Outdoing the starkness of winter's white coat.
Autumn compares the mutable shades of spring to her fall Giving a sigh, end of another season. She packs her brush as frost touches her tips.

Teronna. We arrive tonight though we are not expected until tomorrow. It is as My King would wish it, to keep them on their guard in the hope that they reveal something. Anything. I must never forget that this is not merely a summit to begin the discussion and proceedings of a marriage of state between Arcisea and Teronna. I am not certain what it is he is hoping to glean from this ploy or from this arrangement for that matter but it is not for me to know or even question. I must simply to do as I am bid. Jarrin has his reasons. I am told the princess is a great beauty, 'the jewel of Teronna' they call her. I suppose we shall see...

Winter awakens all my sorrows as now these leaves grow bare, so do I. How all this world's joy goes to nothing. Once it was, now it is not; as though it had never been, truly. Many men say, and it is so: everything goes except one's will. All that which grows green now fades altogether and dies As we shall all die, though we like it ill. Oh, help this to be seen and shield us from hell! For I do not know where I shall go, nor how long there I shall dwell.

She was the song, in a chorus-unheard. the heat of summer in his winter of verse.
Hers was the melody her wanted to learn; in clung to his lips, in silence it yearned.
It seems as though now, he'd forget every word; Yet, in a field full of flowers, she was the first.
There once was a song she reminded him of- she no longer longs yet she still loves...

Home. When King Julian ordered me to return, I thought I would arrive to learn that he was backing out of the alliance with Teronna, that he had another offer or had changed his mind. I never thought I would return. Moreover, I never thought I would want to. But King Julian is not backing out of the alliance; he has not changed his mind. He told me to excuse my sudden departure on the holiday and the whim of his king to have his most trusted vassal present. Yet, when I arrived, he was distant and distracted. And, no matter Julian's suspicions about spies intercepting letters, he did not need me to present my findings, meager as they are, in person. He knows how to encode his missives as well as anyone in his court, myself especially seeing as I taught him how. Never before has he not trusted me with his secrets? What is he planning?
