GRAMARYE GIFT: Temperature Manipulation - Lavender can raise the temperature in an enclosed space to temperatures near-boiling. This could be used to raise the temperature of a single person high enough to overload their body and cause them to faint from rapid heat exhaustion, or raising the temperature in a room to overheat everyone in it. She cannot do this in open spaces--outdoors for example, or in a large ballroom. The enclosed space is what allows her to make the change.

PERSONALITY:
Lavender is a somewhat intense young woman. While her sister Rosemary demonstrates social anxiety as the reason for her quiet nature, Lavender is quite comfortable in social situations. Her quietness is actually because she's paying close attention to the people around her. When spending time with her mother and other older company, she often fades into the background, letting people forget she is there so that she can listen in on conversations she might not normally be part of. She keeps detailed notes on the happenings around her, as well as her theories about different families and events. All of it is written in code, of course. She thinks of herself as her mother's little spy. She's never without her notebook; she has a number of little crochet purses she uses to carry it wherever she goes.

Around her siblings, and other people her own age, she's much more expressive and vocal. She takes after Lucas McIntyre in that way--she can be positively charming and funny when she is in her element. She often takes time to warm up around people, but once she has a feel for what she feels they expect/want from her, she will warm up and do her best to fulfill that role. She's been accused of being two-faced because she can act completely differently around different sets of people, and will give advice and encouragement to both sides of an argument. It's not that she intends to lie, exactly... she just wants to make people feel at ease.

She rarely opens up about herself and her true thoughts or feelings, instead reflecting back to people their own views. She doesn't have any close friends outside her immediate family.

HISTORY:
The youngest daughter of Emilia McIntyre , Lavender grew up in a strict household. She has always been a bright and cheerful person, even in spite of her father's glowering. She follows the rules as well as she can, but she's easily excited and often was chastised for not better containing herself as a child.

Now that she's "grown-up" Lavender is much quieter when needed, and her father has been known to grumble that at least he has one obedient child who doesn't play in the mud or shrink when spoken to. She doesn't necessarily like being held above the others, but she's learned to at least play along with her father's decisions to ensure she stays on his good side whenever possible.

She has only recently discovered that her mother and brother are both participating in the Unseelie Mystics. She tried to drag it out of Remy first, but he ducked her questions and told her to talk to their mother. After a rather tense conversation, Lavender is now a probationary member of the Unseelie. She uses her observation skills and intuition to keep an eye on those around her and shares her insights and notes with her mother and the Unseelie. She has also passed some messages and left notes in the castle library.

She's now at an age where she ought to be getting married, but she and Mama are being careful to choose someone who will sympathize with their interests.
