A secret meeting

Oria had left when no one was looking, that was hard since everyone was always watching her but she never left at the same time so it was unpredictable. Wearing a lovely Blue dress and her long hair was only pulled back from her face so that it wouldn't get into her way.

She ran and ducked, holding a basket in her arm as she giggled a bit racing to the beach with her sandal clad feet. The youngest Moretti was excited to meet with Everette again, their romance still new of a few months but it was something she kept close to her heart. Not wanting her family to spoil it was why she didn't tell them yet, they'd interrogate him into the ground and even then the sheep wouldn't be able to find him.

Once at the beach, she would untie her sandals and hike up the skirt of her dress to walk in the warm waters. So far, she didn't see him so she would play in the water a little bit until she or he spotted each other.

Everette left his children with one of their friends for a playdate and headed to the beach he and Oria had agreed to meet at. It was the first time in years he'd felt this giddy to meet someone since. Since left Teronna he'd tried to swear off of romance all together. After the heartbreak he'd managed to keep his focus mostly on his kids but something about Oria just wormed under his skin. He'd spent a while denying that he had feelings for her at all but eventually he couldn't do it. Though he didn't quite understand her desire to keep their relationship a secret he was fairly okay with it. Sneaking around to meet in private locations was kind of fun. Made him feel young all over again. Not that he was that old to begin with but sometimes he felt it.

Everette made his way to the beach and saw her fire red hair blowing softly in the wind. Without realizing it a grin spread across his face as he quickened his pace to see her. There was a bundle of sunflowers and lilies in his hands for her as he knew how much she liked flower. Since they'd started their secret meetings he'd been bringing her flowers every time he saw her. Once he reached the beach he kicked off his shoes and stepped onto the warm sand. Luckily it wasn't bright enough outside to give him a headache and that also meant most people were avoiding the beach. Everette quietly tiptoed his way behind her and moved to hold the flowers in front of her as he leaned in to whisper in her ear.

"Good afternoon, beautiful," he said teasingly though he was entirely serious. She looked stunning as ever.

A little hum left her, the basket resting on the crook of her arm while she kept her skirts from the water that played with her feet. She felt so carefree and easy going right now; also the sneaking made her feel a whole new level of giddy because she was able to keep something from her family for the time.

Relationship wise, this was her first real one, one that she didn't know how it would work but she had hopes for it so she let it brew slowly.

Pulled from her thoughts at the sudden flowers in her face and then a voice, she jumped and turned. "Everette!" she gasped with a happy little smile. Not taking the flowers yet, she would wrap her arm around him that wasn't holding everything. He smelt good, like fresh leather almost. "Were you waiting to surprise me?" Her voice came, teasing and playful as she smiled up at him.

Everette chuckled at her surprise and was quick to bend and wrap his arm around her waist in a hug. "Oria!" He responded with a bit of playfully mocking excitement. Her question made him laugh as he shook his head. "Actually I just got here but you looked so lovely in the water I couldn't resist sneaking up on ya," He offered his free hand to walk with her back to the dry part of the beach.

Oria wasn't the only one keeping secrets. Given how fresh their relationship was and what had happened the last time there were a few things Everette had yet to disclose to the girl. While he'd told her he was from Teronna he hadn't told her why he left or that he was a mystic. Though he knew the war hadn't escaped his home country he still wasn't sure how people would react to knowing what he was. If they would even understand it.

"Blue might be my new favorite color," he said playfully as he fully took in her dress with a smile. "It looks gorgeous on you." Though he might be biased.

A little giggle left her at that, he was teasing her, she knew it but sort of loved it. Leaning into him a bit before she would take the flowers to press her face into them for a moment before taking his arm to walk out of the water, "Mm well you got me, I was distracted by the water but that shouldn't be a surprise," she loved to swim. Growing up near canals and the ocean made it hard to not be a water bug essentially.

Holding his arm, she dropped her skirt now to walk and lean against him a little bit. So far, no one noticed or cared to inform her family about her whereabouts. Perhaps they assumed they knew already and that honestly worked in her favor.

"You know blue looks rather handsome on you as well," she told him honestly as she looked up at him, her cheeks pinked from his compliment, "Thank you...I had to hide it under a coat so my father didn't see me sneak out of the house after my chores were done,' Oria said with a little giggle at that, "Tell me, how was your day, I've missed you," she asked, her bright blue eyes just staring up at him as she asked this. Getting to know him has been a treat. He wasn't born here but instead from Teronna, a place she'd never visited. Still, she desired to know more about and learn of his days since they'd last been together.

It wasn't entirely a surprise, Everette had learned pretty quickly how much she loved to swim. They'd been able to swim together a few times and it was always a treat even if he felt a bit shy at seeing her a little less clothed. Though he also loved swimming not quite as much as Oria seemed to. The compliment returned to him made him grin a bit wider. It had been some time since someone had said something looked good on him. Then again he hardly paid attention to most people complimenting him.

Her comment about needing to hide her dress from her father made him laugh a bit as he placed his hand over hers. "Would he have badgered you with that many questions just for going out?" He asked but it was more of a rhetorical question. As far as he knew their family was large but rather close knit. And he knew that her being the youngest would cause some more questions to be raised about her goings on. He moved with her to walk a bit along the beach and stared at the sand as he spoke.

"Well one of my horses recently had a new foal and I'm not sure what to name him. He's a wild one already though," he stated with a small laugh. "My crops are also doing pretty well and Liam has started talking in full sentences recently."
