Camille tilted her head to the side as she listened to Pandora's suggestions. She was right, of course, Cami had plenty of restless energy, and an urge to do something--she just needed a direction. Finding that, though, was going to be a little more difficult. For now, she'd just have to keep exploring. And maybe buy some more books next door...so maybe she'd have an excuse to talk to Finnian some more... The thought brought a little blush to her cheeks, but she kept that idea to herself.
"Does wanting to organize Hayden's store count?" she joked, "Because that place is right out of my dreams and nightmares all at once. There are so many books! and Lucifer is a gorgeous cat. But if I don't die under a crush of books, he'll be the one to get me! I tried to let him just sniff my hand--you know how you don't just reach out and touch a cat--and he did smell me alright...and then he chomped right down!" She pouted at the memory.

Pandora gave a smile to that and then laughed as she nodded in agreement to that as she lifted up the cheesecloth a little and started to squeeze some to work out the liquid, mixing and squeezing it before making a face at the mention of what that cat could do- he was beautiful but he could be a royal butt head.
"I'm actually thinking up a method to maybe make that cat calmer but I need to test it first before I share that idea," she told her with a bit of a mischievous twinkle in her eyes, "And that does count yes but also try things that you normally wouldn't do- do you like to bake or cook? Or have you tried? What about pottery that's something that you do with your hands and you can create something tangible," Pan suggested as she filled the bottle up and would then placed the herbal mash into the morter again to hold onto it while she grabbed a cloth to dry her hands.

Camille wiggled her eyebrows at the mention of something to calm the cat. She'd love to see that in action! She could hardly imagine Lucifer holding still long enough to take any medicine, though. Pandora would have to get creative.
She grimaced at the mention of baking or cooking. "I can technically cook? But not anything nice. When it wa--" She cut off and bit her lip for a moment, looking over at Pandora as she tried to decide how much she could really say. She'd been about to blurt out her whole life story to the other girl, and she really shouldn't. That was private, and beyond that, it would only make Pandora see her the way she really was: a pitiful stray picked up by a generous family. She continued, finally, but the enthusiasm was gone. "A long time ago...I learned to cook a few simple things, but nothing nice. I guess I could try learning again. I don't think I'd be terrible at it, at least."
She shrugged as she considered pottery. "I've never really tried anything artistic. I used to draw flowers all over the assignments that Maeve gave me, though. Maybe I could try sketching, or something?"

Pandora was tight-lipped on what her secret tool might be to soothe that savage cat that often went after ankles. She had suffered many times at the claws of that kitty and now was a time to get back at him to make friends.
Her eyes went up to her, curiosity there and a little confusion when she stopped herself from finishing her sentence. It made her wonder what she wanted to finish saying but Pandora was not the pushy sort and didn't ever want to be like that with people, "Well I honestly...am horrible with regular cooking but I can bake cakes and treats; when father isn't around since he said thats what the cook and baker is for," she said with a roll of her eyes as she flicked her wrist a bit annoyed at that. "Well why don't you if nothing else it'll be nice to relearn a few more skills," she told her with a positive smile at that.
"Sketching is an idea you should if its something you've done before maybe you'll find that you had a knack for it and go from their and your family is the kind to help with such things if its something you want." she told her with a happy smile at that. She knew that much at least and hoped that Cami would find her footing in something that she liked, "There is also the route of music or being a socialite type, going around and enjoying parties with other people; I think thats the definition of it right?" Pandora asked curiously as she sniffed the bottle and grinned before setting in the long glass dropper top.

Camille nodded. She was glad to have Pandora laying this all out for her--it seemed a lot simpler when her friend was just giving her ideas to try, and it wasn't all a jumbled up mess in her brain. Talking about it made it seem almost manageable. But there was another problem: what if she tried all this--art, baking, cooking, singing, being a socialite--and she wasn't good at any of them? What if she just didn't have a calling or a talent? Was that something that happened to people? Or would it just mean she was as broken as she thought she was? She swallowed hard and forced herself to think back to what Pandora had actually said to her instead of her anxious imaginings.
"Those are all good ideas, thanks, Pan," she answered with a small smile. "I just...I want to have some kind of direction, and when I try to think about it on my own it seems kind of impossible. I think talking it out helped, though." She pursed her lips and rolled her eyes upward as she considered the options that they'd come up with.
"I think I'll start with drawing, that sounds fun. I don't know how good I'll be at it, but I guess that comes with practice, right?" She shrugged. "Being a 'socialite' is something I'm decent at, I think, but I feel a little, um... out of place? I think people still don't trust me because they didn't grow up with me here. Lili and I didn't have the greatest childhood, so they're not wrong about me being different, either."

Pandora smiled at her and then nodded at that, "I'm glad talking helped in some fashion, I know it probably still seems wonk or weird just not having a direction right away but sometimes it takes a little bit to find the right path to go on." she told her confidently. She had faith in her friend, she was clever and smart, more than able to find what will make her happy.
Now she let out a small pft, "Have you met me? I'm different and weird according to some with how much i'd rather spend time with plants and making herbs then going out to parties. People always talk and want to say this or that Camille but the thing is to not listen to them." Pandora told her with a small shake of her head. She knew that was easier said then done but Pandora had been ignoring people for a good while on a lot of things to the point where it seemed nothing ever would both her.
"So what that you didn't just grow up here I know I don't care I just like you for who you are," Pandora told her before giving a small nod hearing that about her childhood. It made her heartache for her,"I hope things are better now for the both of you though and drawing sounds like a great start and yes it will take practice but that's half of learning to do things and then once you learn how you can always put your spin on it." she told her confidently, finishing writing the script basically for the man and tying it around the bottle and then placing it in a basket of done items.

"Yes, but you're different and weird in a pretty and fun and productive way!" Camille argued. It really did seem different to her--Pandora practically glowed with her passion for her work, not to mention that she was as bubbly as a glass of champagne. She couldn't imagine anyone truly disliking Pan, even if they did find her unusual.
She wound up smiling at Pandora's sympathy for her and Lillia's misadventures early on. She didn't even know the half of it and she was already worrying for them. See? How could anyone not like this girl? Cami already was debating whether it would be weird to go around the counter to give her friend a hug. She decided it could wait, for now.
"We're definitely doing much better," she assured Pandora, "Having a safe place to live, and someone to look out for you...it makes a world of difference. But apparently not enough to convince people that I belong in their social circles. I kind of feel like maybe I don't want to be in a circle where that matters, you know? That's why I'm here, dressed like this..." She gestured to her outfit. "I just wanted to see what it might be like to find people who did like who I was. But this is only one part of me, too..." She sighed. "It's tricky."
She brightened, though, as she realized something. "But, hey! You like me even though I'm being a little insane, so that's a plus! One friend is infinitely better than none."

Pandora sputtered a little bit at being called pretty, she still had no clue how to handle compliments like that so she pushed that one away and just smiled at her, "That may be so but what I'm saying is I never let it get to me when I hear it you'd be surprised what you hear at gatherings," she said with a little roll of her eyes but there was still a smile at.
She always worried about those she considered friend, even if it was a new friendship, she liked to be there for them and offer her support if she could do so.
"Good because if you didn't I could always offer my place," she told her with a sweet smile before she gave a shake of her head as she put the bottle away and walked around the counter and put her hands on her hips to look up at her a bit, "To the dirt with their circles then make your own and flourish in those who make you happy and not those who stick their nose up at you just because of small things," she told her rather firmly before smiling, "I like you just the way you are even when you're trying to find yourself while dressed like that it doesn't bug me and you know I'll take this to my grave," she told her as well, promising once more to keep her secret.
"We all are a little insane I think just on different levels and I would happily have one good friend over a hundred fake ones who would stab me in the back for a cookie," she told her with a grin, "You'll find what you're going to do I know it and anything you need you know I'll help, ok?" Pandora promised her. Friends needed support and Cami needed it right now to help her find that piece she was looking for.

Cami listened to Pandora carefully--both of them were chatty, and sometimes their conversations could get a little out of hand, but she wanted to make sure she didn't miss what was said. What started as a small smile widened into a shining grin as Pandora explained that she liked her just the way she was, and wouldn't reveal her secret. And more than that, she was offering to help her with anything she needed. That was it, she had to hug her. It was necessary.
Camille hurried around the counter and held open her arms for a moment as a brief warning of what she was doing. "Sorry, gotta hug you or I might die, you're just too sweet," she explained, pulling her friend into a tight hug. She didn't know how else to express the wave of affection and gratitude that was threatening to overwhelm her. She was so lucky to have a friend like her. Her life might be topsy-turvy and split in two since her adoption, but without it, she wouldn't have met some really wonderful people. She wouldn't change that part of it for the world.
As she pulled back, she smiled at Pan. "Thank you, that means a lot, more than I can say. And the same goes to you. If there's ever anything I can do, please let me know right away. That's what friends are for, right?"

For a quick moment, Pandora was very confused at what was going on before she just laughed and gave her a hug. She held onto her tightly and squeezed a bit as she didn't mind the hug in the slightest. It was not something she had much at all since her mother passed away, even then she had been so weak that hugging had been rare so this was very welcome.
"Don't be sorry I love hugs and if you ever need one I am always willing to get and give," she told her with a happy laugh. It was easy to hide anything wrong with her with a smile and laugh, no one suspected and that was how she liked it and seeing the smile on Cami's face made it all perfect and wonderful.
"You're welcome and I mean it no matter what," she told her before a little pink rose to her cheeks as she nodded at her, "It is and I will promise but I think the most I might ask for help on is reaching the top shelf of my racks because," she said with a laugh as she motioned to how short she was in comparison to everything else.

Camille laughed. “Pan, honey, I’m not that much taller! But I’ll help however I can, even if it means climbing up your shelves like a cliff face!”
She meant it, too–even if she’d look silly, she’d be happy to do whatever it took to help out her friend. It was nice to have someone to be there for, just as much as it was to know that someone had her back as well.
“I should let you get back to work, I suppose, but I’m very glad I stopped in today. You know…why don’t you come by for tea with Lillia and I next week some time? Or I can just drop in here again, I suppose. I’d like for us to chat more often.”

That had Pandora laughing and smiling, "I do that all the time you won't believe all the things I've climbed to reach the top," she told her with a laugh but it made her happy knowing that she had a friend in Cami.
When she offered that, her eyes went a little wide and she gave a nod, "Yes I'd love to and I can bring some snacks if you like as well? And I'd love that really come by any time I'm here more than my own home," she told her with a small chuckle.
This time though, she would move to give her a hug, "I'm so glad you stopped by and you have fun with what you're doing but also be safe people can be creepy and weird so," she told her as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a little spray bottle and gave it to her, "This is hot pepper extract with water and a few other things spray it in a creeps face and your good to go," she told her with a little chuckle, just wanting her to be safe while she was out and about.

Camille grinned as she accepted the peppery spray. She was highly tempted to try it on her cousins just to see their reactions. But that was probably mean…unless she set it to them as a challenge, and they wanted to try it… She laughed softly to herself. She’d have to see if she could convince Dunstan.
“I’ll definitely be careful. You forget this used to be my actual life! I never go anywhere without a knife, and I’m a pretty good escape artist.” She winked and struck a little pose. “I’m more dangerous than I look!”
She didn’t keep her composure for long, though, before she was giggling. “I’ll be back soon to tell you all about my adventures, and even if I can’t get Lillia to hold still long enough for tea, you and I can have some at least.”
She waved as she hit the door. “Bye, dear! I’ll see you soon!”

"I know but I'd rather you have something else as well to help you should anything happen and their face with get red and blistered from it so you'll be able to point them out to the guards," she told her with a smile before laughing a bit, "I sadly am not that dangerous but you are for sure," she said warmly.
"I can't wait! Please come by any time I can't wait to hear what goes on and to have tea,' she told her with a smile as she would give a small wave to her.
"Take care! Have fun!" she told her happily as she would start to clean up after her mess.
